I visited by little brother yesterday. It's been close to a year since we last touched each other or spoke to each other without glass between us.

He looks pale.

Kinda sunken.

but 45 minutes into the visit, he was laughing and smiling and I could see the real guy shining through. He could be out by January. But I'll see him two or three times a month until then.
 
That's great! I can only imagine how difficult it is on a person to have to live his life in prison. I'm guessing it's that sort of stress that gave him his appearance. But take heart, before long he will be out and you can fatten him up with good food and drink. Sunlight and air outside of the institution will also brighten him up. Your brother is very lucky to have you in his court and I admire you for sticking by him. I hope you'll continue to keep us updated. :)
 
Soil...I know how special that must have been for you...I imagine that living with this for both of you is tough. At least he has you in his life to stand by him and hopefully this will be behind you both soon. I think of your brother everyday, even though I do not know him except through you...

That's great Jasun! I'm sure this visit did wonders for him and of course you. January will be here before you know it. The bond you two have will enable you both to reach higher than you could ever imagine.

Does he have any plans for after his release? Or Do you have any plans? Is he going to be staying near you?
 
He's going to be living with a friend of mine north of the city (if all goes to plan), and he's talking about starting a Digital Rights Management consulting business and eventually opening up his own site.

He'll be a 20 minute ride from me, and we can spend the weekends together again.

I really hope it all works out and he'll be out in January.

This has been a horrible year for me, and without JUB I'm not sure I'd have made it through.

So thanks, guys.
