and a storm is moving in. I love to watch the lightening light up the clouds, the air cools, and the smell of rain washes over the land. Sometimes the simple pleasures of life are the best.

Yesiree. I like seeing a wall of rain coming closer. Oh, and the lightening that goes between clouds. So cool.

Oh, what about the sound of the rain on the roof, or canvas... ahhh.
I'd love for it to rain now...

Simple pleasures indeed! Nothing beats the cumulative sensations of a coming storm front. The air is charged, the smell of rain is everywhere. Then the wind comes up and the temperature drops. Ahh... it really is the best thing.

Every couple of years, check the seals on those skylights. After awhile, the weather does get to them and if they get bad enough they start to leak when it rains. I had a house with skylights and it happened. If you're having the house built, tell the contractor now that you want a good sealer on those.

well, I've never seen a tornado but I'd love to.

My house faces West, so I can sit out on the swing on my front porch and watch every storm coming in. It's so dramatic and yet strangely peaceful at the same time.

I like waiting for the rain. The sky turns blue-black, and there's lightning and thunder off in the distance. When those first cool gusts of wind come, you know the rain isn't far behind. It's nice to sit on the porch, watching the tree tops bend and sway, hearing the rush of wind in the branches, as the thunder grows louder, watching for the first pelting drops of rain. I run inside and open the windows to air out the house and sit at the window watching the rain come down.

Please send Nevada and the drought-stricken Southwestern U.S. some of your nice rainfall, we need it desperately!!

However, we DO NOT need a "gully-washer"; but just a day long of drizzle with no floods!

K?

Thank you, thank you!!! lol(*8*) (*8*)

And when it pours, I love to just run out to the rain and get myself drenched until I feel the chill in my body. I would run home, sit in a nice warm bath and still listen to the raindrops. If only someone was with me in the bath, I'd be in paradise! :)

I LOVE storms.

I have seen lots of Tornados in my life.

My fav thing to do is sit outside with my bf (when I had one) and watch the storms while holding eachothers hands.

Oh....such memories.

Isn't it wonderful when it rains and you could hear nothing but the wind and the rain? Isn't it wonderful when you sit by a corner just reminiscing on the beautiful memories of the past? Isn't it wonderful that we have experienced love.........:)

Coctails,

I live in Phoenix not far away and maybe that is why I love the storms so much. We don't get many and when we do they are usually dry storms, but every once in a while we get the whole shebang, haboob, lightening and RAIN.

Love it, from the safety of my porch. I am not stupid enough to go out in it. Ok I am deathly afraid of lightening but I still find myself drawn to it. A conundrum.
