Recently it has come to my attention that numerous people have begun using this phrase, both male and female...Gay and straight.

For example, a close friend of mine loves the music of Matt Good and has stated on many occassions that he would bear Matt's children, along with a few other things....And this guy is supposedly straight.

Then I of course have a few gay friends who have also used this phrase...

What a silly thing for a man to say....If we could bear children, would you really want to have to push it out your penis? As far as my understanding of anatomy goes, even though this the realm of impossibility already, I highly doubt it would come out the back...

I don't care how hot a man is to me, I will never allow myself to bear his, mewling, puking hellspawn. I draw the line at laundry...

If the expression is taken literally, then of course it is a silly thing to say. But why should one ever think to take the expression literally? The expression is no more, but no less, than a metaphorical way of expressing that one has deep feelings for a person.

As far as I know, this expression is a throwback to the series "SCTV". Catherine O'Hara played a character called Lola Heatherton and her catch phrase was "I want to bear your children".

It's a lot funnier when she does it...

Is that a covert cut at me Reaper? Because I most definitely have used that phrase in conversation with you. I'm deeply saddened by this turn of events.

It's just a way to say some guy is REALLY REALLY REALLY hot... and to bear children there must be sex... and more specifically one must be fucked by said super hot man in order to bear his children.

So it is in a way saying that one would love for him to fuck oneself. Read between the lines Scott. Geeze. Do I have to explain everything to you? (*@*) :p

Or in your straight friends case... infatuation?
