Aternatively, if you want to display an image from your hard drive (but don't want to place it in your gallery, you can use the 'attachment' facility.

When replying to a post, if you scroll down towards the bottom of the page, you'll find an option to 'Manage Attachments' (its in the Additional Options box right after all the colourful thread icons).

When you click on this you will be given the choice of uploading up to 5 pics per reply. Just browse your hard drive and upload them.
