Anyone ever wish you could go back to the day before you met a certain someone so as not to have met them in the first place, that way your life today would be so different.

I sometimes do.


One example is :


I wish i could go back to the day before i met one of my first boyfriends.

I was too young and he said all the right words to sway me.

Back then all a guy had to do was have a good word game and id be putty in his hands lol. He turned out to be nothing but a heartbreaker , and for a minute that experience changed the way i viewed men in general.

That bitch cupid still hasnt given me a refund, but you wait if i dont get a check in the mail soon im taking cupid to Judge Judy.
 
No. Not yet thankfully. I wish I did things differently with some people...but I have no regrets in meeting anyone. Some things might have been hard to live through because of some people, but there were lessons to be learned.
 
I have to agree with Elvin...I can think of some pretty specific stuff I wish I cold do over...but if I hadn't of learned those lessons the hard way, I'd just do that same shit again anyway.
 
I definately would with no second thoughts. If I could redo the last 11-12 months of my life, I would do things so differently.

nope, cause if I could turn back time, I probably wouldn't be where I am today, and with the man I love.

I agree with Elvin1, everything happens for a reason. I regret some things I have done, but I wouldn't change a thing.

As I shudder thinking about my previous relationship, I begrudgingly understand that at the time it was what I wanted and it did mak eme happy and finally 'grant' that wish of having a relationship, first kiss, etc.

So I wouldn't. I'd rather wish about being ambivalent to the whole thing or that we parted well and that we could still be friends instead of me disliking him so much.
 
I guess there is karma and everything really does happen for a reason and it can only make you stronger and all that mombo jombo but some realtionships really were pointless and caused alot fo uncessessary hurt.

Some lessons can be learnt without the pain and hurt and if i could go back to the day before the hurt, life would be different.
 
I can't think of a person I wish I'd never met. I can think of a few people who've been inflicted upon me by others (such as my first stepfather), but nobody has ever left me completely bereft of some benefit.

However, I would love to get a do-over on my youth, if I could retain the knowledge I have now. I'd go back to around fifteen and just try a different set of paths. Just to see what happens... like not starting smoking, not letting certain opportunities pass me by, going to college immediately after high-school instead of futzing around for six years, etc.
 
Regrets...i have a few but I agree with most that....it has made me who i am today. And I like me:D

My first love was a real shit but it made me realize how special the man (my true love) is!..|

Now as far as career choices i would totally like to change. I would've got my degree to be a chiropractor instead of advertising.
 
I dunno. I guess I sympathise with the original post, because I had a similar experience, but so did a lot of people, and I know it was at least a lesson worth learning. And he learned too, once he was out of intensive care.
Although if I could go back in time, I'd maybe buy that shirt in TopMan in 1999...
 
I used to wish that I could do things over... but I'm just starting to get things figured out. I don't want to screw up what I have got going for me now

If I could turn back time but keep the knowledge I learned from the experiences... definitely. Otherwise, I'd probably do the same thing anyway so what's the damn point?

Elvin - I've said this for years. Although there are some things I would probably do differently, it means however I would not be who I am or in the place I am today...
