You mean it should just be a free place for you to put a spam link to your website in your signature so YOU can make money and get free promotion off of JUB members?
Besides... we have stated time and again, that the forum will always be free. No one here is talking about charging for the forums. You are just trying to inflame the discussion. This has nothing to do with making the forums paid. That will happen over my dead body. Find a different bullet point to rally behind because that one doesn't hold water.
I agree that the forums should be free.
But, keep in mind, that if the owners want to make changes, then changes happen. All of the internet forum/message boards are owned by someone, and they are not 100% completely free. Some cost more than others. The forum fairies don't just go behind the scenes and say "Poof! You're working now!" There are real people behind them, working at them, helping them stay sane.
Regardless, when changes are made, some people will like them and some won't.
But, keep in mind, that if the owners want to make changes, then changes happen. All of the internet forum/message boards are owned by someone, and they are not 100% completely free. Some cost more than others. The forum fairies don't just go behind the scenes and say "Poof! You're working now!" There are real people behind them, working at them, helping them stay sane.

thanks Seth for changing the forum name and make it more obvious. although I am still feeling uncomfortable to share a forum with men having a foot fetish, a diaper fetish or something else. the main reason why I was concerned was because already in the old "daddies, bears and chubbys" forum we had many clashes and rude comments. because even in that forum the taste in men was very diffrent...I think this will increase now...and end up in a big kindergarten because everyone is posting his likes and especially dislikes. I doubt it will bring people together. but that is my opinion...
btw...talking about that. I think it's kinda rude to tell all the non-paying members to shut up. it's like that....because I am paying for JUB my opinion is more worth than the opinion of non-supporting members. that's like someone is telling others my opinion is more worth because I am white, black, christ or not a foreigner. of course JUB have to listen first to their paying audience but this don't forbit do express the opinion of non-paying members even if it is a complain.
I am wondering why not make a poll and see how satisfied the users are?

Well I am bugged by some of the negative comments comng from guys who not even JUB supporters.
Pony up the $30 a year and help support this fantastic web site, then and only then, should you even consider criticisms.

I know this has been covered by others but I had to add my .02 in.
If you want to shell out the 30.00 buck for me please feel free, that will alow me to put gas in my car or keep my internet for another month.
I know it's only for a year but currently and actually for the past couple of years things have been tight. There are no nightly , weekly, hell even monthly dinners out in this house, and I can't remembeer the last time I went to a club.
When we do go out it's planned very far in advance and is quite the treat.
This forum being free is the one way I stay in some fashion, connected to the gay community. It's practially the only way.

Gordon Bennett! What a balls up...and I am not talking about the admins and mods decision to change the layout...I am talking about all the negative comments coming from all and sundry.
From my perspective, Seth and the rest of the admin team and mods, do not have to explain the decisions they make, and under no circumstance should they have to explain why the Garden of Memories was so named.
I thank Seth for his explanation even though I do not feel that it was warranted and he is right that putting things together brings the JUB community together.
I know that I have been remiss in not going to all of the Forums as I usually just visit the ones that I want to, but having them grouped as POPULAR FORUMS brings us all closer together.
Although, I do agree with the comment that was made about having the porn ones at the bottom although I would never access JUB through my work internet account.

I agree with this whole-heartedly.
I enjoy bears. I enjoyed the ease of simply clicking on a forum and VOILA! Bears! I do not enjoy fisting, scat, inserting scary objects in orifices, or urinating on others or myself. Why has my preference for men with a bit of meat on their bones suddenly been labeled a fetish, while twinks and "hunks" (ambiguous much?) remain separate? Why don't we just make one forum, and title it "Gay stuff in here"? I mean, really...the changes are arbitrary at best, and at their worst, they're just rude.
