OS is an excellent choice. I was a GunnersMateGuns for 10 years. I worked with a lot of Seals and EOD types. It is a good field if you can get through the training.

It's very tough training. I'm sure you will get through it. I didn't mean to sound negative. I've just known people who were in shape and couldn't make it. Are you going to try to get the east coast or west coast?

I am thinking that I want to be stationed West - Coast. I have a bit of time before I have to worry about THOSE orders though. I'll spend 8 weeks in Illinois, and then another 14 weeks in VA Beach. And I don't leave for a month and a half. So, that's a bit far ahead...

I am former air Force as well, but I salute anyone who enlists. By the way I saw So. Korea in your profile. I spent 1 1/2 years at Osan AB and it was by far the best assignment I ever had, even though they were under martial law at the time and there was a curfew downtown. Got locked into many a bar at midnight and not allowed back out until 5am.
