In my effort to keep my abs (or more accurately, get them back)..

I've given up drinking.

i've given up sugar.

I've given up bread.

i've given up Potatoes, pasta and rice.

I've given up carrots

i've given up coffee

I've given up anything with Caffine (which raises your insulin even though it has no calories).

I've given up any carbs at all after 10:00 am

I do an hour of cardio two times a week and weight training three times a week.

I drink a gallon of water every day.




And it's working.(!)
 
Whew...when I looked at your exhaustive list of things you gave up...thought maybe sex was someplace in there!

Of course dancing helps a lot Soil....!

Issue with giving up all of your carbs is your body will attempt to store anything it can get its hands on...
 
i have carbs before 10:00 am.

bowl of fruit, bowl of cereal... that's plenty of carbs for the day.

Yeh, when I started training I tried to keep away from the carbs... it's really difficult though because I'm a keen marathon runner and have to eat loads of carbs. D'oh!

The running keeps my stomach nice and flat though...

I got some info from a website about ab training...

1. Keep metabolism steady - eat a small meal every two/three hours to keep your
metabolism going.
2. Eat smaller dinners
3. Eat more fiber
4. Don't skip breakfast! - Gets your metabolism going
5. Eat smaller meals more frequently
6. Drink lots of water.

Soil, I heard this is the exact thing that Nicole Ritchie does to lose weight...I also heard is what Suzanne Sommers did when she was on Three's Company. Good luck!

As stated above, it's important to eat small meals throughout the day.

It blows some people's minds, but you have to eat to lose weight.

Back when I lost all of my 'post bf kill me now, fuck it' weight, my rule was
no carbs after dark. Just for breakfast is pretty strict...I'm not sure I could
stick with that.

No carbs=a mood swingy joshy.

But, everyone is different.

Lots of fiber, lots of lean meats... and you'll never be hungry.

(Not that you're fat to begin with, but you prolly don't want to hear that)

Well man, good luck on your efforts. Just wondering why though.

I've seen your galleries on jub, you've got a fine body right now.
Nice looking guy you are too.
You are very smart, write well, and have an excellent sense of humor. You have lot's of friends and many people that care about you a great deal, and I'm sure many that love you too.

So with all of that why are the abs so important to you? Of course that's up to you man. Just asking. You seem to be close to perfect as is, are you going for perfect?
