Is there a song that can make you cry?

This may sound weird but, it really is effective and made me teary-eyed.

Mike Starr died today. He was the bassist for one of my favorite bands ever, Alice In Chains.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nco_kh8xJDs"]bye Mikey, I'll miss you[/ame]

^_^ RIP Mike Starr – he was a great bass player!

I just posted a vid of Gilbert Bécaud crying, so I'm feeling a bit vulnerable myself right now… Please, take it easy on me if you don't like these, everybody, OK?

Here are three songs from a famous, Italian popstar from the 1970s-'80s – he wrote the disco hit Gloria (not the Van Morrison song that Patti Smith covered)…

Senza Mamma, an aria from the opera Suor Angelica by Giacomo Puccini. It's especially tragic when Maria Callas sings it. The opera is about a young nun whose cruel aunt puts her in a convent when she has an illegitimate child. Suor Angelica sings the aria after the aunt tells visits her for the first time in the convent after 7 years and tells her the child died in infancy. I found a version with the libretto on the screen. The first line is "without a mother, my baby, you died."

Welcome to the machine Icy. Those are all very beautiful songs indeed, I hope we see more of you puddin'.

Stanley is a phenomenal musician hp, kisszU

And alas, my Maria Callas. Oh Paley, you've raised the bar in our humble thread Sir.

Cyclone Callas/ the Fire Of The Mediterranean, was quite simply the greatest voice opera has known. There are volumes attempting to explain her brilliance but one needs only lend an ear and ones heart will follow and appreciate the magnificent tapestry that woman wove with sound.

Joey, honey - I got some money
All is forgiven
But if I seem to be confused, I didn't mean to be with you
And when you said I scared you well I guess you scared me too
But we got lucky once before
