Jojo is from Baltimore, she ain't tryin nothin way too hard. I imagine people see her smile and white skin and assume she's another one of those "white girls tryna be down." Jojo ain't gotta fake any kinda funk, she IS funk. Anyone who has a good ear for music will appreciate her runs in Breezy. Open your mind up, the idea of pigeonholing singers contributes to the commercialization and mindlessness of today's music scene.

She's actually from Foxboro, Massachusetts. I love this girl...i think she's great and she really doesn't get the recognition she deserves. I remember seeing her perform at the Funway Cafe in Foxboro when Leave(Get Out) was just about to be released...nobody had any idea who she was in the place but she had everyone dancing at this club. And she's so mature...watching interviews with her is like wow....she's really that young? But it's not a creepy mature like Dakota Fanning.

I think she's a good singer and pretty talented, cute and everything but I guess she doesn't have the marketing team that most of these other pop female singers have. I haven't heard anything from her in a long time.

I love JoJo. I think she has an amazing voice. I was watching some of her videos on YouTube, and I just really love listening to her sing.

Marley, I believe you are wasting your time with most on here debating here because if it's isn't about Rihanna or Beyawnce when it comes to "black music" you know most isn't listening...

I believe JoJo is an excellent singer and growing performer with time.

well according to IMDB...she's in pre-production right now for Alivin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel as the voice of Jeanette.

And according to a poster on her IMDB message board her new single was supposed to be set to hit radio on Dec. 16th...but I guess it was pushed back since it isn't out.

This was always one of my favs by her.

AMEN! Finally somebody with some sense. I believe that some gay men only believe in the big 5, Madonna, Mariah, Beyonce, Rihanna, and Britney, and anybody else isn't worthy of their time, no matter how great the music or the voice is.

I agree with you Marley, i do think she has a very souful, r&B Sound, and i think she def. has what it takes.

U guys dont realize shes still young, and her voice has lots of time to really improve and grow, i enjoy her music, i cant wait till her next album to see what shes bringing to the table.

I just checked, and yep she just turned 18 on the 20th. WOW I always thought she was born 1991 instead of 1990. Time flies by quick. She is working on her third album which comes out in early 2009 called "All I Want Is Everything". Can't Wait! It's going to have that R&B and POP flavor!
