JUB Virus

While i was on Jub last Friday i got a message from my NOrton's that JUB was trying to attack my computer. Has this happened to anyone else???

wierd.. I can guarantee we have no viruses on JUB.

if your inti virus program is set to a high level of security then it will freak out about some cookies.

the JUb cookies are really needed or you have to sign into every page you open.

I'd be more worried about the download links that people post to other sites than JUB's cookies

Never had that problem with JUB.....but I always practice safe surfing!

I have had this a lot in the past, and have reported it. There was a red+blue Norton pop-up, followed by a blocking of the site for 30 minutes (which I could have overridden). It usually happened on a page where I clicked an image thumbnail.

However. . . since The Great Upgrade, it hasn't happened once. (Yet!)

That's the exact circumstance under which I got my one Norton warning!

I run on AVG and Kaspersky, no problems at all...

If linux was the OS for the masses why are so few people using it? There are many reasons, of course, but I will nto get into that. M$ and windoz is the 900 lb gorilla, and they care little for their customers, or else they would make their OS more bullet proof. Where you own a MAC or a PC is up to the individual. Some OS's are better than others, just as the Apple PC/MAC commercals show.....I am on a MAC because I am a graphic designer and this is the platform of choice for most designers and almost all printing companies! I would however, agree with Ben F46, that MAC's right now a spyware free and virus free. My computer works eveyday, and that is what is important to me.
