On a farm near Pretoria...
I wouldn't actually mind a few of these creatures patrolling the grounds of the complex in which I live. The "locals" are shit scared of snakes. Last night we had another burglary in the complex in what must be the 6th since January. They use some sort of gas to spray into an open window which puts you into a deaper sleep before breaking in. Even though I'm on the second floor I now make sure all the windows are closed before going to bed.
Three weeks ago I was awoken by a neighbours car alarm. His car keys and other valuables were taken from his bedroom while he slept. Luckily the alarm woke us when he tried to unlock the car. The burglar got away by jumping over the electric fencing!

July2006. Just outside East London harbour in the Eastern Cape is where this boat has run aground. I believe it had engine problems. A large crane has been brought in to off-load some of the containers.
