Re: Just Venting, Airing Out, Talking Shit, Personal Beefs, Problems, Anger Management, and etc Thread for 2017
Too true.
But love green tea cookies...and I still amke a couple of jam cookies when we are going to be hosting tea.
I now alternate white and whole wheat bread each weekend and then we freeze it for toast. Except that this week coming up...it will be time to try the sourdough recipe.
There is nothing I love making more than bread. I love it because it is a living food and so satisfying to nurture through the risings and kneading until it is ready to fill the house with a heady scent of fresh baking.
There's nothing to compare to the first warm slice slathered with fresh butter.
Made cookies, less than 2 dozen, turns out the little fuckers are addicting when they're fresh. They were jam, and I'm surprised jam cookies aren't more popular. Meanwhile there's a green tea cookie that I can't seem to enjoy by itself, it desperately needs milk, which'll hopefully bring praise cuz I suspect I have to sit through a plate of them later. But bread might be in the making, so not a bad tradeoff tastebud-wise. (We each make a new dessert every 2 weeks or so because, well. There's been a firm promise of homemade bread, but green tea cookie critiques come first.) God, I hope milk helps.
