so, lil wayne just released a new song called Prom Queen, its a rock song straght up, i actually really like the song, i have a lot more respect for him for stepping outside the box and doing somthing totally different. What do you guys think?

The Album is going to be titled "Rebirth"

I have never been a fan of Lil Wayne, but this is some cool shit. I would never thought a rapper like Lil Wayne would step out of the box and do something like this. I think this song is going to storm up the charts and create some buzz among some of hip-hop listeners that may not care too much for rock music. I thought this was a risky choice for Lil Wayne but he pulled it off nicely. I can't wait to hear this on pop radio. :)

This screams "publicity stunt." This reeks of "trying too hard." I believe he's making the rock album, I just don't think he's doing it for the right reasons.
 
I would be lying if said that I hated the song; I actually kind of like it. Lil' Wayne is probably trying to cash in on his mainstream popularity while he's hot. Isn't Rihanna supposed to be doing something similar, in terms of her musical style, with her next album as well?

I'm pretty sure that's what supposed to happen with Rihanna's next album. That may be why she switches to rock songs in her performances as of late. As far as the worst idea, are you sure it may not have been Kevin Federline's idea to be a rapper does not top the Paris Hilton album?
 
his voice is way too annoying for me, sorry. Doesn't really go well with that style either imo.

True. He does not have a very pleasant voice, but if he has a good beat behind him, I can easily be distracted, like Rihanna or Justin Timberlake.
