How do you know when someone is truly in love with you?

Well said......
I've had guys TELL me they "Love me" in the past.....but it never was. My partner SHOWS me that he "Loves Me" by his actions.
(Examples: Feeling him pulling the covers up over my shoulders at night if he thinks I might be cold......holding my hand in a Hospital Room not caring who sees it, or what they might say.....thinking about me first, instead of himself...).
I'd go on the "Actions" anyday, over just the words.
And yes - both of you accepting each other with all your faults (and warts...LOL), and not trying to change one another.
When it IS real.......you WILL know!!!!

Oh, I dunno. I guess it is when you have been lovers for 23 years and knowing that when I'm going to see him it is what I want to do more than anything else in the world. It is that feeling I get when we kiss and he holds me and I hold him. And it is more important to my well being every day.
