Okay, so I signed up on Manhunt.net, however I put in one of my friend's picture (He's very hot, picture included at the bottom) just to see how the guys on the site react. I was bombarded with e-mails, instant messages and chat requests. To be honest I was quite intimidated.

Some guys were cool and just wanted to say hi, but the majority of the guys were completely OBSESSIVE!!! Like... wow, they would not take no for an answer, and keep e-mailing me, asking me where I live, asking very personal and blunt questions.

Okay okay, I know I set myself up for this, but are men really like this? Obviously I'm a noob to hooking up with guys, but this is fucking nuts! If my friend was gay, he would have a VERY fullfilling sex life...

So my question is are most men really this predatory about sex? Are hookups always this dirty and bang-n-go? Am I reading too much into this specific site? Is this the reality that I'll soon to face? Please, if you have advice or can share experiences, I would feel reassured. I trust Jubbies because I am one of them.

1st love ron, I stopped the account because it was just a temporary experiment, and I didn't think it was cool to keep playing someone I'm not.

Ok, so Manhunt has this feature where you upload your pictures on your profile page, and you can lock the pictures so that only selected users can view them. When I logged on, people would unlock their pics to me without knowing me (an auto-e-mail is sent everytime someone unlocks for you).

I don't know, I just think it sucks that these guys don't even want to know the person they fuck. I guess that's what this thread is about, a reality check for me.

What I am surpised by is that on some of those sites people are looking for long term relationships...but, i guess stranger things have happened. You never know where love is going to show up...

I responded and as politely as I could declined... well... he turned crazy... and sent me a message saying i'm not gonna be young forever and I'm an asshole blah blah blah... so I responded telling him that he is 60 years old and should grow up and take my rejection with some dignity.... well he responded with an apology.. then said he is crying and I caused it and that he is going to kill himself...

now this is when i started to stop responding to a majority of emails i get... well that doesn't help... i got an email from a guy... you wanna chat?.... I got a second email with another one of his profiles with more pics.. then he sent me an email saying.. ok guess your not interested... then he sent me an email calling me a jerk.. then he sent me one saying something about my mother.... then he sent me one saying he is sorry i have father issues... then he sent me one calling me an asshole... etc.. etc... etc


so... all i have to say is... MEN ARE FUCKING CRAZY

And from what I've heard, they all end the same way.

Whereas, no photo or one that does not confirm to some people's aesthetically pleasing tastes...Sees few and far in between.

A more interesting experiment, that takes more time...

Is not to use a photo, but your words. Set up an elborate, well thought out, and great profile but don't use a picture.

Then, if you start talking to someone who asks for a picture, substitute it with such a photo that would indeed not be aesthetically pleasing...

Then, see if the person continues to talk to you afterwards.

I've yet to do this one myself, considering I don't have that kind of time at the moment to invest into it...
