i really wish that everyone would just GET. OVER. THIS. COMPETITION.

these women don't have anything but RESPECT for each other -- why can't their fans show the same dignity?!? talk about having no class .. how sad is it for us to go back and forth, shouting out one or the other of these two ASTONISHINGLY TALENTED AND SUCCESSFUL women? GET. OVER. IT! we should be trying to celebrate their successes with each other. i'm a huge Whitney fan, she's my favourite of all time -- but i'd have to be a deaf idiot to not appreciate the incredible vocals of Mariah back in the day ... and i'd be first in line to buy her new album if i heard songs that reminded me of her in her heyday.


less hate, more support. from all sides. i'm sure that Whitney has had QUITE ENOUGH negativity in her life already. she is done with the drama. she'd be embarassed to read some of the stuff her fans write about Mariah. and i'm not as familiar with Mariah, but she's only ever said how influenced she was by Whitney and how she respected her - -so i'm sure she wouldn't want her lambs saying the shit they do, either.

I like Mariah to but the way she dresses like she is still 19 with that super blonde hair and fan always blowing it back is just so played out.

That picture would have been SO MUCH BETTER as the cover to the album. Something about the cover pic just looks odd. But the pic in the red dress, she reminds me of someone face-wise with that expression, and I cannot think of who she looks like (or who looks like her).

Both.
1. Both have spectacular voices( though mariah's high pitched note does cause my ears to bleed)
2. Both have had spectacular meltdowns that would have ended the careers of less talented less driven performers.
3. with Whitney's comeback on the horizon both like the phoenix have risen from the ashes stronger and more popular than ever.

So I say both. They are both spectacular singers and i am sure at some point hollywood will make bio-pics about both of them.

All you have to do is watch GOOD MORNING AMERICA on YOUTUBE from today and know that MARIAH using AUTO-VOICE or not can still sing atleast 1 note... Whitney's voice is shot... I Turn To You was so BAD this morning...

DOnt get mad at me either cause i bought her album today... i still love her but i am just letting you know before you say Whitney's voice is more superior to Mariah's you need to watch that video...

In general they both have some of their powerhouse vocals but Whitney just has lost all but 10%

That would be Reba McEntire at Tuesday night's DWTS. At 55 years old, the woman can still outsing most, and is certainly proof that women aged 40 (That would be you, Mariah) do NOT lose vocal ability to the extent that some fans make it out to be. As another example, Reba put out her vocally best and most challenging album at age 40 in '95.

...and I just love her sitcom show! I watch it all the time.

Oh yes, Reba is the shit, and has been since 1977. She deserves more recognition.

Whitney's deterioration is one thing, but Mariah's is another. I do not understand why she can barely sing anymore.
