MTV's Real World: Hollywood! [merged]

well sometimes things happen in the big season preview that never end up on later episodes of the show.

One thing, of the many bad changes to the show, is the roommates friends. When roommates had a friend who was around a lot or a hookup. There was usually some kind of introduction and were an addition to the cast in a way. Now you just see a caption that says (steve, will's friend). There's always random people in the background who are never introduced. It's weird.

Also, WTF is up with this guest limit shit? Since when is there a guest limit? I remember that is what started bri and Kim's fight. In past season there will people in and out of the real world house.

WHile I'm ranting...Does anyone remember in older seasons how the roommates were so impressed with the house and so grateful to have all these luxuries and the ever-present discovery of a condom bowl or sex book. They used to be so excited to meet each other and be in a new place. They'd usually have a family dinner or something. The good old days....Now it's alcohol-> club->alcohol->slutty hookup->alcohol->druken roommate fight->repeat

Yea I think it is the show limit because the roommates would be stupid to agree to that on their own. Cuz what if 1 person brought home 6 people then the rest of them can only bring home one person btwn all of them. That's dumb as hell. I thought it was more interesting when roommates chose their friends and made a life for themselves.

It seems to me MTV changed it to make more self contained roommate drama.

and the other one too, dave is it?

this fight is laaaaame, calling him a faggot was just silly straight bravado nonsense. they all act like it's such an insult and so offensive, bahaha.

and I wish they'd just fucking hit each other already!

dave, yeah. he's crying now.

bringing up his deceased father and then calling him a faggot was completely unjustified.

This was entertaining. I actually started to like Dave finally. I like looking at his ass at least. But I think his whole "alpha-male, frat guy" persona is such a front. His actually quite sensitive and emotional. I think that's his problem with Greg. Something about Greg makes his emotions go outta control. I don't think Dave's totally gay but I think that he is attracted to Greg and Greg likes him as well. There's definitely sexual tension. all the nudity and hot tub action was hot but nasty JoJo kinda ruined it.

Also, I don't like that Will never apologized for the father comments or throwing things and destroying the house.

I thought I was going to hate this season but I actually am enjoying it.

Best season in the last few years. But I think Greg takes all the credit, he makes good tv.

These people drive me batshit insane. Normally there's always at least one person we like. This season I'm pretty sure we all can agree that it WAS Will. Now I'm so over them and how childish they behave. Incredible!

ugh this show.....ugh....

and about the guest limit...I remember from past seasons that they've talked about a limit....i bet it's something having to do with releases and getting them mic'ed and stuff...who knows...but i do remember them talking about it in past seasons...if not in the actual season then at the reunion in like unseen footage

I liked Joey and all but it's pretty ridiculous to ask the roommates to change their lifestyle for Joey's addiction problems. it would be one thing if this was a show about addiction like celebrity rehab but it's not.

I don't even drink but a lot of my friends do. it's not right for them to ask 19-25 year olds not to drink or go out when they're living in LA rent free for 5 months. It really isn't their responsibility to keep Joey sober. People like Dave shouldn't keep offering him shots and that's about it.
It was crazy when that women said if they go out they have to stay in groups and monitor Joey all the time. Is she fucking nuts?

Joey needs to just go home and be with his family. If he was serious about getting better he wouldn't even consider coming back to the real world house. I can't believe addiction specialists would even attempt to get him to stay in the house. MTV obviously doesn't care about him really getting better.

Yeah, Joey might be in a lose lose situation - but it's not like the roomates can't change for the better. No one said they had to not go out drinking and partying because Joey is coming back - just lessen it and find other things to do with him. I mean, just because it's Hollywood doesn't mean there aren't fun things to do that DON'T involved fucking and passing out drunk. And it IS right to ask that 19-20 year olds don't drink - uhmm, correct me if i'm wrong, but that's still illegal, right?

aijalon18, you must not be much for support systems. Asking them to stay in groups isn't even an issue - Real Worlders have been doing that ALL THE TIME. They did it with Ruth and Brad - two other alcoholic cast members - but now you're shocked when someone official gives the same(common sense) advice? It's FAR from bullshit - it's saving a life. And as mentioned, him going home - alone to face his druggie family - will probably do more harm than good. So putting him back in the house(and OBVIOUSLY, he had the choice) is the lesser of two evils.

BTW. I am completely disgusted at Will. No matter how much a douche Greg is(and he is), you don't bring up the dead to try and spite someone. Joey still takes the cake on anger, but Wills' a close and dangerous second. The fucker.

Joey is gonna have to go back home to his family eventually anyway. it is better to face them now than go from the extreme situation of living in the Real World house then face them later and deal with another extreme situation.

and i seriously doubt EVERYONE in his family is a total druggie. Obviously he just wants to be part of the real world experience...duh. If he was 100% serious he would go to Sober Living or a place that really is geared toward supporting his recovery.

Clearly you know little about addiction recovery and neither does Sarah. Going back to the real world house is a dumb ass idea.

Well to be fair i don't about your life but If you do know about addiction, you must know that going back to Real World house when you are dealing with addiction is not a good choice AT ALL. The reality is the roommates are gonna drink and they are gonna party. Even limiting that is not enough. He can't be around that at all. He needs to create a stable environment for himself. The only way it would work is if the roommates never drank and never went to bars at all for the rest of their time in the house. I think think that is way too much to ask.

Anyone have any pics of the the black guy with the dreds? I thinks he's
hot.gif
!!!

I know it may be obvious for the people that read the MTV site, watch the show both on tv and online and otherwise have their lives revolving around the spoilers and the online blogs about the show after the show, but for those of us that just watch the show on TV and come on here to talk about it, please do us a favor, and don't spoil it. And if you must, white text it, please.

Courtesy is what that's called.

the only time i watch anything related to this show is wednesday nights at 10pm. you act like i sit around and read blogs and look at pictures and find gossip on these people. i have a job and scholarship applications to worry about.

don't assume anything about anyone; it's obvious joey leaves from the previews we ALL have seen.

*ahem***

~moving on~

That BITCH finally went home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HATED Greg...i hope whoever replaces him is gay.

I don't like the fact that they went out the night Joey came back from rehab.

Eventhough Joey acts like a huge ass baby sometimes, I just want to hug him and cuddle him.

How many times do we have to hear Joey say he can't take it anymore and people are telling him he's in a bad environment for recovery before he decides to leave? And hopefully he does leave because apart from his rage issues, he does seem like a good guy and I don't want him to relapse and do something worse than the first time.

Hooray for Sarah doing something other than having a stick shoved up her ass. Although, I kind of feel like that's exactly why she's the only one helping Joey. Not so much because she cares that much about him but because like usual, she feels like she's better than everyone else that has decided to continue living their normal lives, and rightfully so. But I'll at least commend her for it even if it does feel a little suspect.

I love Charna for having the guts to fire Greg. She gave the ass 3 chances and he still had excuses. I'm SO SO SO glad he's gone. I don't think MTV would do a worse job than we did putting a replacement in the house. Then again, I'm not normally a fan of the replacement house guests.
