MTV's Real World: Hollywood! [merged]

How many times do we have to hear Joey say he can't take it anymore and people are telling him he's in a bad environment for recovery before he decides to leave? And hopefully he does leave because apart from his rage issues, he does seem like a good guy and I don't want him to relapse and do something worse than the first time.

Hooray for Sarah doing something other than having a stick shoved up her ass. Although, I kind of feel like that's exactly why she's the only one helping Joey. Not so much because she cares that much about him but because like usual, she feels like she's better than everyone else that has decided to continue living their normal lives, and rightfully so. But I'll at least commend her for it even if it does feel a little suspect.

I love Charna for having the guts to fire Greg. She gave the ass 3 chances and he still had excuses. I'm SO SO SO glad he's gone. I don't think MTV would do a worse job than we did putting a replacement in the house. Then again, I'm not normally a fan of the replacement house guests.

I totally agree. Joey is a cutie though.

I'm glad Greg is gone. He was entertaining, but he was tortue to be around with his other roommates.

Hes selfish, cocky, rude, and a lieingt theif. He made a lot of good drama, but his time is up.

I loved how no one had his back and speaked up for him at the improv meeting.

Karma for sure!

and random, but I find Joey very adorable. I feel bad for his situation.

Greg is a vacuum. He sucks himself in and he is all he knows or wants to know.

I had the same feelings about everyone going out the night came home, and then they all came home drunk and noisy. I don't think a single one of them, save Sarah, has an inkling of what a terrifying thing it is to rehab and then be in constant temptation. MTV should have sent Joey home right from rehab, but they are looking for a breakdown for the show. Not good for them or on them.

By the seasons end we just might have a whole new house. I don't like Bri at all. She has no clue about what she does to herself by making the same mistakes over and over.

If all of young America are as drunk or doped up as the RW people then where are we headed?

So Brooklyn next.

i don't really understand why Greg had to leave. i get that he used his three strikes and that's fine- but what is the point of this job of theirs? i thought the reason they were brought out to Hollywood was to pursue their actual career goals. modeling, reporting, acting, directing, singing, and producing. well, the improv helps the actor, so that seems a little lame. but anytime that Greg tried to get somewhere he had to skip out on a job that wouldn't benefit him at all. sure, Bri and Will have gotten to pursue as well, though Bri was for an episode and Will has been more focused on dating his connections, so whatever. Greg is the only one who has been hardcore going after his goal. so it's kinda lame that he's the one who had to go.

and why couldn't he just find another job? that's what they did for some other roommate way back when when she was fired, right? whatever though. the episodes wont be as good now.

I watched some exit interview with Greg and he was making the same point. The thing is, in order to pursue your goals, you often have to do crap you don't want to do. Greg was living rent free, getting exposure and wasn't being forced to work a 9-5 job or wait tables. Yes, I'm sure it felt annoying to have to do that improv stuff, but if he can't suck that up, then he is going to have a hard time in the actual real world. Seriously, the guy acted like he was above everyone and everything and it was very boring.

That said, he was a hot piece and I would totally have spread for him if he kept his mouth shut.

I had taped it, and it got cut off. Did Joey leave yet?

Greg - Thank you MTV for kicking him off. He is so annoying and full of himself. I kinda hope that he goes on a challenge and the older cast mates will set him in his place...hopefully. I glad that I don't have to watch him anymore.

Joey - Jeez! Take responsibility for yourself. I know that you are an alcoholic and you know you are. Just accept that you can't drink and that doesn't mean that people around you have to stop. I am tired of this guy. Go home.

The housemates are not there to find jobs for themselves. They are there to make a tv show for MTV. Each season they are assigned a job and must do the best they can with the job. In Sydney no one was allowed to shrug off the job. In the one before Sydney they were assigned a job to help with under privileged kids on nature and hiking trips. A lot of bitching and whining took place but they all did the job.

Greg - well Greg just went about his business and didn't notify the Improv group that he had other plans. He was told after the first infraction that he HAD to be there, but he chose on 2 other occasions to ignore and on the last of those 2 last times he was sent packing. His loss since he does not have free housing food and transportation in Hollywood to pursue his modeling career, which I thought stunk anyway.

Someone should have stuck a personality to him before he left because he left as blank and he came.

I think the job requirement is stupid anyways. it would be a better show if people were able to make their own lives on real world. Over the years real world producers have invented scenarios to create more conflict and drama like making them work together. The first season in LA they didn't have a group job and it was still really entertaining.

Well the sad thing is that they used to actually get people with personalities and goals to be on the show. There was no need to force a stupid group job on them because the housemates were pursuing their own things and it was interesting to follow. I'm not sure when the whole job thing began. Maybe in Miami? The Real World is so far from what it started out as that they now generally seem to cast slackers who are willing to participate in whatever task because they know they can then spend loads of time getting wasted, screwing around and get sent to some international location for a free holiday. The producers count on drama arising through bad hookups and/or mental instability.

You know, I'm glad Greg is gone but MTV has placed these people that all want to be actors or musicians or what have you right smack dab in the epicenter of where all of that stuff comes together and I feel like it would have been much more interesting perhaps giving them each jobs tailoring towards their interest.

Peace out Greg and peace out Joey....next.

I am so over the two of them - let's get some new blood in the house!

what time were you checking it? they had a message from Tom up on your maingpage last night saying they were doing 2 hours of maintenance and you wouldn't be able to upload or view any pictures

and PEACE Greg! You are the most annoying cast member EVER!

Joey...you were great...but it's good he got out of there

This was a forgettable episode. Sad that Joey left but it felt more like a sappy drama than anything.

The new male roommate they're getting, based on initial first glances, looks like Will without the dreads. And I'm not sure because I haven't seen every season, but is this the season with the most black cast members? Good on MTV for diversifying if it is.

^ Agreed that this episode is "forgettable," at best.

It's like OK Joey, we know you have a problem. You've addressed that...several times throughout the episode. Go home already. Get the help you need. Him reading his letter was kinda sad though.

(Maybe it's MTV having an ulterior motive of "see what happens when you snort blow and drink all day, kids? You go to rehab!")

I will admit - I think he's looked the hottest this episode than any other though. Especially when he was getting his pictures taken.

The stripper that gave him a lap dance was kinda weird looking. She had no boobs! ;)

As I said before, bring on the new blood! (!)

gotta say...I downloaded Brianna's EP...and it's not too bad. It wasn't what I was expecting from her but it's definitely an enjoyable 5 song EP. It's a great little pop-rock sound...if you like people like Rebekah Jordan or Kina or even like old Michelle Branch...you're gonna like Brianna's stuff.

New roommates. What do we think?

I still think Nick looks a lot like Will without dreads. Both guys are incredibly sexy though. This is the first season where literally every guy and girl was good looking. Hollywood, go figure.

Personality wise we still don't know anything about him because Brittni got all the screen time with Will. She was kind of annoying after a while but Will definitely could have treated her a lot nicer.

Overall they're okay additions. I'm just happy neither one of them is Greg.

And um...is it just me or does anyone else think Sarah is a huge bitch? Literally everything that has come out of her mouth has pissed me off in one way or another. Kim I've dealt with but Sarah still irritates the hell out of me.

I'm so done with this show. The new guy is so tired and generic. He's like a black version of Dave who is also so tired and generic. All the guys are basically one person. They bring home random drunk sluts and hook up with them. How exciting.

They shoulda got a hot, slutty muscle queen who brings home guys all the time. That would really make those guys squirm. it would make an interesting storyline.

It's kinda revolting having Janelle be part of the show and seeing all the random people from other casts and challenges on the show again. They looked really pathetic.

I'm watching the latest episode online.

1) WTF is Janelle doing on another season? Awkward.

2) So glad Greg is gone! Dry as a wall.

3) Sad and happy Joey left.

4) This season is still an improvement over Austin, Key West, Denver, and Sydney.

i wish i hadn't ignored the 1st few episodes of this. didn't start watching til Joey came back from rehab...that boy is GORGEOUS!!! he's a bit of a drama queen but he's really cute as hell. Will's the sexiest of the guys, but doesn't seem to have much of a personality though. anyone else think Dave looks like a young Michael J. Fox?
