You aren't addressing his assertion that a thread against Islam or Judaism wouldn't be likely tolerated. Both would quickly be flagged as hate speech. And anti-semitism is invariably about the religion they are born into, not about the race, if it even is a race.

There was a New Yorker story today about a Tennessee Congressman who already dismissed the idea of being able to do anything about criminals. Apparently his children are homeschooled.

If there were any justice in this country, every city, county, state, and federal official would be required to enroll his children in the local public schools. No white flight to Christian academies. No homeschooling.

They are public servants. If they don't have their families invested in the public schools, why should we expect they are doing their sworn duty to see that they are fit for the public.

I was responding only to the list I quoted . I neglected to note it's juxtaposition with "Funny anti-Catholic Internet pics,/Funny anti-white Internet pics." and how it sounded to me like a conservative talking point.

Also, being born into a religion doesn't mean much. It's the indoctrination in the years that follow that cements many people's faith. And it's by no means set in stone: people can and do leave or change their faiths. There are at least two Netflix shows about Jews who attempt to escape the Hasidic community.

I read something similar but the Congressman was talking specifically about school shootings. Same disconnected, shortsighted bullshit as when wealthy people spout nonsense like "Everybody has the same 24 hours." Reminds me of the South Park episode about Rob Reiner's anti smoking crusade. When confronted with a working man who laments not being able to smoke in his bar, Reiner replies "Well you can smoke all you want in your house in Malibu."

There was a child molestation charge against the school about a decade ago. Any information that I could find is sparse. Might this have something to do with the shooter's motive?

On the other hand, having some shithead politician's kid in the classroom could put the other students at a higher risk of becoming collateral damage.
