Noses!!!!!!!

I'm pretty lucky in the looks department
 
My nose has grown a bit in the last two years and I've developed a little bump. I'm really happy about it as I used to hate how small it was. I was terribly jealous of my brother's nose.
 
i dont like my nose much, but i wouldnt consider surgery...
 
I like my nose, for the most part. It's kind of plain, neither long nor short, big nor small... it's just there. If I could have any surgery done, I would have it straightened (most people's noses are asymmetrical) and maybe have a bridge implant to give me that English bump in the middle, but there are other parts of my face just screaming for the surgeon's attention, so I probably would leave that bit off.

I find my nose very effective for breathing. It seems to work well when I do not have a cold or ashtma problems. As to how long it is, I do not know as I do not own a nose ruler or nose tape measure.

I would never have plastic surgery. Last time I had surgery, I began to faint just as they were about to begin, and I almost fell off the operating table, barely missing my head and the floor meeting.

No one has complained about my nose and quite honestly I find this one of the nosiest and Ludicrous threads I have ever encountered. And this from a lecturer?

Talk about being intrustive in one's privacy, I am surprised you did not ask about the hairs in the nose - you know, like how many do you have and how do you take care of dealing with them?

Why would anyone have surgery on their nose though?
Surgery does not make you beautiful,
It removes what is special about you and moves you towards what is average.
It's high priced butchery.
Apologies to any plastic surgeons here.
Reconstructive surgery is great. It can help to restore what is lost, but elective surgeries just seem to run along with the ideas of homogenised beauty.
This standard pre made idea of the ideal.

I love my nose and would never have it worked on. It is one of the things that makes me...me.
 
What's the English bump thing? I have a slight convex bump halfway down the middle of my nose, but never associated it with being English. Most Englishmen and other northwest Europeans seem to have somewhat small noses.
 
i have a bump in my nose, but it's where I got hit (ok, hit myself) in the face with a basketball as a kid. I guess i'd have it straightened out if i could. It doesn't bother me though.
I'm happy with my face

Tell that to Ashlee Simpson..she's looking better then her sister these days!!
I have nothing agains't cosmetic surgery, if it makes you feel better and the end result is postive then why not..go for it!
