OMG! Bea Arthur and Rock Hudson singing about drugs on TV program!

I remember that show - a friend of mine worked on it.

It was the late 70s, a Bea Arthur special after Maude wrapped.

Wayland Flowers was on it, too, with his puppet, Madame. Anybody remember that act?

The whole thing was so gay!


My favorite line from that song was Rock singing, "Amyl nitrate was some guy's name."
 
Can i just say how much i loved bea in "Maude"that show was the greatest
 
That's just disturbing. Especailly that tin-pan alley arrangement.

I just picture some old lady doing a kick dance to that.

Too much acid, too much grass. How odd to see these people singing about the horrors of drugs as they desperately cling to their glasses of alcohol. Pretty much sums up that generation.
