It was raining. People mostly men were trying to wait out the rain. There was an abandonned pink umbrella by the door. The men would rather get wet and run through the rain than use the pink umbrella.

One guy attempted to take up the umbrella but then a woman made a comment "Nice Umbrella man", then the guy got embarassed and put the umbrella down and ran to the parking lot through the rain.

Interesting how people react to social conventions even in 2006.

Pink for girls, blue for boys even if it means catching a cold from getting soaked to the bone.

When it comes to clothes some men say "Real men wear pink" but even so its generally frowned upon and some would even assume your sexually if they see you wearing pink.

I must admit though i was put off when i saw a guy using a pink cellphone, although i just figured he had borrowed his girlfriends phone and that it wasnt his.

Given the circumstances--- I'd have had that pink umbrella in my hand in a heartbeat!!

I wear pink with PRIDE. :-) I've seen alot of hot straight guys wear/don pink clothing & accessories. And they'd beat your ass to a pulp for saying anything about it.

I don't look good in pink - although I have worn a light pink dress shirt on occasion.

Yeah, its stupid.

Baby clothes are still sold that way. Blue for boys. Pink for girls. Its starts as soon as they're born.

I think only a select few men wear pink well... most of the time it just looks tacky and tasteless.

Well said.

I hate pink. Period. But that doesn't mean I wouldnt use a pink umbrella, I get stared at anyway.

My sister got a Pink Razr phone...recently. I wanted the pink one...and when she did I was all like NOOO then I realised it was the light pnk one, and not the actual Magenta one I want.

That's funny. My gf has the magenta one and I wanted light pink, but it doesn't come with Cingular.

I hate the stupid rule about pink for girls/blue for boys!!

If it's raining, and I see "any" umbrella, I will use it and I do NOT care what color it is, only if it covers my pretty, white ass!!oops! !oops! !oops! !oops!

I do hate it when people are so homophobic too about men NOT using/wearing pink....I like it how the breast cancer research group was gettiing men and women to wear pink in recognition, to fight cancer.

Perhaps, "One of these days, we will all be one"!(*8*) (*8*)

I would have a pink cellphone except that my gf got one first.

I inherited my sister's old pink Ericsson when I broke the antenna off mine for a few months some years back...

And what's wrong with pink, anyway? I have a fair amount of pink in my wardrobe and it is in fact very much the in thing here in .za along with other pastel shades. You can't move for pink in most of our big stores.

Colds and pneumonia are caused by infection. You do not pick up infections from cold weather, you get germs from other people who sneeze or cough in your face or transmit germs with their hands to objects that you touch.

I don't like normal clolor trends, i wear utterly ridiculous shirts, sometimes pink, sometimes every color your thought didn't exist... it's fun, it's part of my personality, so pink umbrella, SURE!, how about an umbrella with frog eyes and a tounge!?

well pink IS ugly. maybe they just had a sense of fashion ;)
