the scientists voted today to remove it from the list

we now officially only have Eight planets in our system.

that is just weird.

Only 8 Planets. Pluto is a Rock according to Wikipedia, and a Micro-planet according to other sources ive seen.

i will never remember that there are only eight planets

Anyone who speaks even a little bit of Dutch knows that one makes absolutely no sense at all*. But it was the best I could do and it worked, for me and for quite a few of my classmates I told this mnemonic.

This just reminds me of the feelings I had when I heard the term "New Math" being taught in schools. Yeh...I think I felt the whole universe slip out of balance when they took Pluto's planetary status away. Can they give it the title of honorary planet instead? (...a few decades and millions of dollars in debates and studies can decide that! )

It's absolutely ridiculus to have spent time, energy and money on downgrading Pluto's planetary status and changing our perception of the solar system. I can see not catagorizing any new dwarf planets into being called a planet but to take the title away...silly.
