Yea I dont like how they did that elimination either. These shows always try to do some stupid twist. But I just think it so awful to treat the aspiring designers that way.

Although I know she wont make it far, I love Anya. It's so cool how she looks Asian but talks like Rihanna. i love hearing her voice. I love the color blind one balled fellow as well. I wanted his scarf from auditions more than Heidi did.

I'm anxious to see more from the woman that auditioned with the western looking outerwear and did those awful pants tonight. And I wanna see more from the "straight" Mormon guy.

I agree with Phillyurban8 - Anya's pants (if designed by anybody else) would have been criticized for that "pooch" - Anthony's (the color blind guy) outfit was terrible.
I'm voting for Bert (57 yo) too!

yay project runway!

i liked the way this season started. instant tension, and we got a look at what the designers can do if given more than five minutes. yeah it was cruel, but come on, its a reality tv competition. cruelty and humiliation is its lifeblood, lets not pretend it ever was different. and man, was heidi coked up, or at least drunk! kinda hilarious. good main challenge, too.

miss trinidad looks beautiful and shes wearing the fiercest earrings ever in one of the talking head interviews. she has an adorable accent, and her design was pretty decent. but her personality stinks. i dont buy her 'im doing this for the first time!' schtick, and she just comes across as self-possesed and irritating. calling it now: villain of the season.

GUNNAR DEATHERAGE! yeah that was one tacky gown, but thank you for introducing me to that name. now i want to write an x-rated sci-fi pulp novel. its hero: a lonesome space-cowboy called GUNNAR DEATHERAGE! also, i want to see him make a gown for moon bloodgood. MOON BLOODGOOD IN GUNNAR DEATHERAGE, BITCHES!

the testicle guy is kinda adorable but his design was overpraised. why do i call him 'the testicle guy'? because the 'this season on PR'-segment shows him saying "i havent been this pissed off since i had cancer", which is so utterly ridiculous that i cant help but call him 'the testicle guy'.

bert: kinda hard not to love him, right? except if youre the one wearing the boxer shorts hes slept in on your boob. poor thing. his design was fierce, tho.

rafael:"nina the woman is hot! i notice how hot she, a woman, is, because im straight! and by 'straight', i of course mean 'closeted self-loathing supergay'!" goodbye, rafael.

viktor and danielle: low key personalities, remarkable designs. theyll go far.

I really enjoyed the show! The designer that won the first challenge totally impressed me!

UGH she pissed me off so much. I think she's lying (or at least exaggerating) her lack of experience. There's just no way she could do that in 4 months. And she only became interested in designing after her Miss Universe experience? Wow, now that's inspiration,

It's a slap in the face to all the talented people who actually KNOW HOW TO SEW (without falling back on a gimmick of "omg look at me and how fast I learn"), who have actually wanted to design their entire lives, who actually have formal education, training, and experience, but who couldn't get on the show because this bitch took their spot.

^That bitch, as you call her, obviously took their spot because she was better than they were. So try to remember that the judges saw something in her "lack of experience" that was remarkable enough to phase her through. And not only that, she was one of the few to make a decent(I'm not going to oversing her praises here) outfit on the runway.

I can think of less talented people that have been on Project Runway since its' inception - Wendy Pepper comes to mind.

I am SO GLAD Rafael is gone; miss thing was too worried about her damn hair to sew... travesty.

I agree with the judges this time.. both the top 3 and he bottom 3.. well, except for one. I adore Anthony, he's fast becoming my favorite next to Bert. However, his skirt with the pubic hair in front.. he was in the top 3.. really?!?! OMG. Uhm yeah.. he should NOT have been in the top 3. But the two others deserved to be in the top 3, and Bert definitely deserved the win for his gorgeous dress. The bottom 3 I also agree with. And yeah.. Rafael's outfit was fucking awful. He definitely deserved to go.

Am I the only one thinking Anya's sowing story is BS? I mean.. she seemed able to sow. Hmm..

I dont get why everyone is being so mean and nasty? Anya has been nothing but sweet. Why has she been called a bitch and a liar? Besides, What could she possibly gain by pretending not to know how to sew? Its actually a huge handicap. She almost wasnt picked b/c of it. For group challenges, no one is gonna wanna work with someone they think cant sew. It's ridiculous. People just look for any excuse to be negative.

She's being graded on a curve because the judges were like "WOW, SOMEONE WHO CAN'T SEW MADE THAT?!" I did like Anya's design, but I strongly suspect that if anyone other than Anya had made it, they would have been merely safe and not in the top 3. She's gaming the system. I know it's just a reality TV show, but it still annoys me, sorry.

Think of it this way: if you didn't know how to sew and went into a cutthroat, nationally-televised fashion design competition that involved huge demands on your sewing ability, would you be saying every 5 minutes that you don't know how to sew? Personally, I'd be a bit self-conscious and would be trying to hide my inexperience rather than projecting it to everyone who will listen.

But that's just reality TV, I guess...
Go ahead and call me a hater. :)

U cant be serious. That is such a huge gamble to make. I'm gonna promote myself as someone who doesnt know how to sew, so ill be judged on a curved. That is total b.s. Nina, Michael, and Tim were slightly offended that she even tried out. If there is something to complain about. It is that she most likely made the cut b/c of the novelty of the Miss Universe" designer.

oh come on now. were talking about reality tv... a show with a history of prominent cast members that you love to hate (wendy pepper, santino, kenley, gretchen...) its fun to speculate who is going to be the villain this season, who the underappreciated talent, who the crybaby, etc. its all good fun.

im with mapiyu when it comes to miss trinidad. shes working an angle, i can smell the bitch-fumes coming off her. of course i might be dead wrong, she might turn out to be the sweetest, kindest contestant ever. its still fun to speculate, and we will find out soon enough.

talking of bitch-fumes, i missed it when i saw the ep, but appearantly the other bottom-boy, the one who got to stay, claims to be straight (and a virgin). oh deary dear. i expect lots of incoherent drama from that corner, too. hey, im not complaining, just noting.

I get people like to get involved in the drama of these shows. But I just dont agree with creating drama where none exists. Some people might believe that being gay and indiscriminately bitchy go hand in hand, but not me.

As for the other bottom boy. Yea he is straight and a Mormon and cant wait to have a wife and start a family. A really great arc would be if he cut the bs and came out during the show. As far as sexuality I noticed a big change lately.

In earlier seasons you had to pretty much guess who was gay, which wasnt that hard. let's be honest. But now it seems most designers talk about being gay in their intro. I think it's great.

I'd say this has to be one of the realest reality shows, which is why I can't stop watching! Excited for this season and loving the casting, so much diversity.

My top favs are Anya and Oliver Green. On the fence about Cecilia's personality, but I definitely love her designs. Some will grow on me, but these are my top 3 after seeing the casting episode.

And WHAT was up with the color blind guy's fugly short/embellished top combo that the judges thought was so great? And Anya's pants with the pooch across the front pleats? Hello, were the judges not looking that closely?
Funny...I thought the pants fit well. There were others that night (and so, so many more in the past) that didn't.

This snuck up on me! I was awaiting a new season of P.R. but didn't find out until the day of the broadcast that it was airing! I caught the last 10 minutes of the prequel, dammit, but at least I caught all the regular episode.

First impressions - I like this crew of designers. There's enough mix of personalities to ensure an interesting season.

Anya made it in for her "taste level," and sewing skill be damned; last season everyone thought Michael Costello had no skills and look how well he did.

^ And they gave him (Micheal) so much crap, too. Especially Ivy.

On an unrelated note, does anyone else find Olivier's accent to be really pretty? It's very refined.

This season's off to a great start.Lots of Drama. I was happy to see the older guy win the first challenge. I also don't buy that Anya can't sew.She keeps saying it and yet the judges loved her pants.I'm rooting for Amanda, since her hometown is Coral Springs. There are some cute male contestants.Hope we get to seem them with there shirts off at least.

Love Anya, she's so endearing. I'm not buying that "only learned how to sew in 4 months" bull, but hey if she's really being honest I have so much respect for her. Go Anya!

I'm watching it despite Gretchen's winning last year ^^

He's hot!

He look's exactly like a cousin of mine! You have no idea

Ummm...

I'm in SHOCK!!!

Julie had AWESOME materials to work with and turned out a homeless woman's outfit...

Josh -- I mean -- come on -- NO ONE would wear that...

And Rafael was the LEAST WORST of the three...

Anya made an INCREDIBLE top -- and SHOULD stay...

And -- well -- what can I say about Bert...

He may have not had my FAVORITE outfit -- but his honesty about the darkest years of his life WON ME OVER!!! ..|

It is going to be a GREAT SEASON!!!

:):):)
