Okay, so the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" (RHOA) on Bravo is my FAVORITE TV show!!

I can't find any other ongoing threads on JUB about RHOA, so I thought I would create a new thread.

My favorite women on the show are NeNe Leakes and Phaedra Parks.

If you all have been following the show, all of the girls (except Kim Zolciak, who just had a baby boy) are going to South Africa for a 10 day vacation.

The new "unofficial" housewife on the show is Marlo Hampton, who has been bringing the DRAMA to the show. Apparently she was dating NFL player Charles Grant, but she is known for sleeping with wealthy men. Marlo Hampton has been arrested 7 times, yes, 7 times, for crimes including stabbing another woman at a club.

So, in the next week's episode, the women will be in South Africa.

Marlo gets upset that Sheree Whitfield didn't invite her to a party. So Marlo tries to diss Sheree by saying this --

I use to watch this when we had bravo on directT but has since switched back to cable. Can the episodes be viewed online anywhere (the entire episodes). I don't understand why bravo doesn't have the episodes on their site. I also miss Top Chef

I know. I don't get Bravo on my TV, but I watch all the episodes online..

Bravo puts some of the episodes online (on their website), but not all of them.

If you search YouTube there is a user who has been regularly uploading all of the episodes from the current season 4 of "Real Housewives of Atlanta". Just type "Real Housewives of Atlanta" in YouTube....

If all else fails, you can pay $2 per episode to watch the episodes from Amazon.com (it streams directly from Amazon.com).

But I would try to catch it on YouTube before they take it down..

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" is TOTALLY different than the Housewives of OC. Even though I'm from the Orange County, CA, area, I didn't like the Real Housewives of OC..

Every "Housewives" franchise on Bravo has a "theme"


Real Housewives of Atlanta = Mostly African-American socialites from the ATL

Real Housewives of OC = Blonde, plastic, Barbie-doll looking women

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills = The wealthiest women of the "housewives" franchise, living in the 90210

Real Housewives of New Jersey = Italian-American women living in 'Jersey

Real Housewives of New York = ?

Real Housewives of DC (cancelled) = Politically active women living in the nation's capital

Real Housewives of Miami = Affluent Latinas living in South Florida


IMO, "Real Housewives of Atlanta" is by far the best series. It also has the highest ratings of any show on Bravo by far, so I'm not the only person who feels this way.

The producers of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" are the same people who produced "A-List New York" and "A List Dallas."

JayQueer...I LOVE The Real Housewives of Atlanta! I'm glad you started this thread.

I have watched the earlier seasons off and on, but just recently went back and watched every last minute. Good stuff! Simple entertainment and a fun watch every time.

I would have to say my favorite "housewife" is Kandi. Her personality comes closest to mine--plus she's generally low-key and low drama. Phaedra is a close second.

I love Kandi too. My favorites are NeNe, Phaedra, and Kandi. I'm in the middle about Kim.

I'm also in the middle about Sheree. There are times when I'm totally "Team Sheree," and other times, I'm like "Are you kidding me?"

The episodes where Sheree was going to court for child support and trashing her ex-husband Bob Whitfield was TOTAL BS. "Straight from the A" blog and Tamara Tattles (she runs a blog) showed the court documents. Apparently in the divorce settlement, there was a mutual agreement that Sheree would sell their former house, and split the profit from the sale. Bob was then supposed to supposed to give Sheree another $400,000 after the house was sold. Instead, Sheree asked for the $400,000 upfront so she could find a new place for her & the kids to live. Bob gave her the money...........BUT Sheree never sold the house! Because Sheree refused to sell the house, Bob stopped making payments and the house went into foreclosure. They ended up losing all of their equity on the home.

So, basically the reason why Bob Whitfield hasn't been paying child support to Sheree is because if she sues him for the child support, he would counter-sue her for making him lose all of the profits from the house. They would break even, or Sheree might even owe Bob some money in the end...

Oh, and "Chateau Sheree" that house Sheree is supposed to be building?? That's also not true. That lot in Sandy Springs, GA, belongs to Sheree's mother, and they were saying on the blogs a while back that a different builder (not the guy they showed on TV) is building a generic new house that Sheree's mother plans to sell...

I'm also not a fan of Cynthia. She is so ANNOYING!!! Everyone is totally right, she basically clings to NeNe and does whatever NeNe tells her too. And then even her husband Peter walks all over her too. When something doesn't go her way, she starts acting like the sky is falling on her and then Peter or her sister have to bail her out. Girl, get some backbone and stop whining....

Did I mention how much I would love to bed her hubby?

Atlanta is one of (if not THE) "it" cities of the region. It is home to a lot of wealthy musicians, actors/entertainers, athletes, socialites, etc. etc.

So true...Sir Elton John, Kenny Rogers and Bill Gates have Mega-houses in the ATL...That's only 3 out of MANY...

Kandi, is an well presented business woman, perhaps the most wealthiest of all ATL housewives.

Kandi is THE Wealthiest "Single-female" out of the Franchise...She's worth $30-Million...Kandi's got more money than half the women on "Beverly Hills Housewives" single or married.....

NeNe is worth about $3-Million-plus...not sure about the other ATL-housewives...I'm very curious about Kim but "Wendy Williams" team hasnt searched her "net-worth"....

Yes, Phaedra is really beautiful. If I were straight, I would be trying to get some alone time with her. I think what I really love about her is the way she carries herself--and she does have a pretty interesting sense of humor.

Do y'all think that Phaedra might not be completely accepting of homosexuality?

Phaedra is the most religious, outspoken Christian out of all the women on the show. Her mom is a pastor of a local church.

I remember a while ago, Phaedra and her mom appeared on Andy Cohen's "Watch what happens live," and a viewer asked Phaedra how she would respond if her son told her that he was a homosexual.

Phaedra didn't give an answer right away. She hemmed and hawed, and finally she said that she would want whatever would make her son happy...

I wonder if she gave that answer because it was the "politically correct" answer to say, but if she really felt otherwise?

I do know that NeNe, Kim, and Kandi are completely comfortable around gay men. NeNe has appeared at OutWrite gay bookstore in Atlanta before, Kim posed for the No H8 campaign, and Kim and Kandi have made several appearances at gay bars and at the White Party in Palm Springs.

But I do have doubts about Phaedra.....

I'm embarrassed to say I watch this show. Just a couple of observations:

1) Brother that is a psychiatrist saw 1 minute of Peter and said "sociopath." Get away Cynthia, he has no conscience. He's like an animal.

2) I hate NeNe's ugly, man-looking ass. She isn't cute. She isn't talented. So why is she cocky?

3) Kim's husband is a big fool for marrying an older woman with kids that could be his siblings.

Fast-Forward before kroy....How can she afford her lavish lifestyle? She's always having catered brunches, the cars, how is she paying Sweety? Sweety practically lives with her.. i started watching AHW LATE so I don't know what these women did for a living because it's obvious they're not working anywhere now...They live for the Salons, Parties and Food & Drinks...

Wendy Williams reported last year that Kroy was making $500,000 a year...With that Beefy-White Booty on him the NFL should have thrown in an extra $500-K cause I'll watch Football just to check out his Ass...

Damn that Dude can wear a pair of Black Dress-pants....When he was dancing in that contest his Fat-Butt-Cheeks in those black pants cast a Spell on everybody in that Damn Dance-Hall...

I have to disagree with you right here...I think NeNe is cute/attractive in her own way..She's a Tall woman and she really carries-off the "look" she creates for herself...When you feel good about yourself on the inside it will show on the outside. NeNe's got serious anger issues but her strength & confidence still shines through...

NeNe told Rose O'Donell last week that she was the First AHW signed on when BRAVO went scouting in the ATL...The Producers asked her to drop some High-Profile ATL wives names in the Pot. She pointed them to Sherrey, Kim and some other Chick that was on during the 1st season.....NeNe said most viewers dont know that...

The only woman who had a career before RHOA was Phaedra (she's an attorney). Well I guess Cynthia was a runway model in NYC, so maybe her too. The others -- I don't know what they did before......

Oh, and that new mansion that Kim says she "bought?" She's renting that house from the woman on the show who was her interior decorator. Yes, her interior decorator is her landlord. On the show, she talks down to that woman, basically ordering her around. When that lady owned the mansion Kim is renting!!

Kim used to date a man (he was never on camera) called "Big Poppa" who was her sugar daddy. He bought her an Escalade, and all kinds of things. She claimed that he was going through a divorce, but she probably knew she would just be his mistress. She briefly dated a lesbian DJ before dating Kroy....

Yes. There was a woman in the first season named DeShawn Snow who was married to an NBA player I think. They had a REALLY BIG mansion that they did own. She was really nice and sweet and polite, but she never really brought any drama to the show. They didn't invite her back for the 2nd season. I think she has gotten divorced from her husband since then.

NeNe does not. She has been renting houses in places like Sugarloaf in Duluth and John's Creek.

I think Kandi and Phaedra own their own houses. Kandi's house is a ranch-style house and Phaedra's house is a typical tract house or "McMansion" you might find in suburbs like Roswell and Marietta...

I don't know if Cynthia owns her place but she lives in Atlanta proper. I think she lives in the Virginia Highland area, very close to Midtown Atlanta (which is where all the gay bars & nightlife in ATL are).

Phaedra said that Cynthia's neighorhood was undergoing "gentrification", which in Phaedra's words means "when they try to turn the 'hood into the suburbs."


All of Housewives are receiving salaries of well of over $150,000 to $200,000 per season. Of course, A-list celebrities are paid much more, but for normal folks, that isn't anything to sneeze at.

If somebody gon' write me a check for $150,000, I ain't gon' be sayin' no...

I know...Kandi is sooo awesome and talented. She can work with so many types of music. Her specialty is probably R&B and pop, but she can also do country too. She helped Lawrence with his "Closet Freak" song, and she even made Kim sound decent with her "Tardy for the Party" single..

^ Yeah, I've heard Sheree's song. Surprisingly, I like it more than "Tardy for the Party". I think mainly because it's so hilarious to me.
