I suppose it's a little odd. But he has to be a little out of the loop if he didn't know TRL was cancelled, so I don't know how much he's using the show as footing. For doing so much research, I thought was a little odd he didn't know it was off. Apparently he went after the show was already gone, and they announced it's cancellation months before, so he must've really not paid attention. I bet the producers and cameramen were laughing to themselves when he was talking about going there.
 
I'm really liking how this season's been going, especially compared to crappy past seasons like Denver and Sydney.

I haven't read through the whole thread but does almost everyone not like Ryan? I think Ryan's freakin hilarious- he reminds me of one of my friends, I think it'd be fun to hang out with him, haha
 
I like Ryan, too. I could see myself being friends with him because we're a lot alike (humor-wise)
 
I just wanted to chime in on this season as the Real World is a guilty pleasure of mine. I got hooked with Chigaco, as it started airing in early 2002, a little before my 13th birthday, and Chris was the first gay guy I had seen on television that wasn't an over the top stereotype.


Anyways, this season is a little weird for me. It seems like everyone has the mentality of, "If they're going to act like a child, I'm going to treat them like one," and so everyone ends up running around like a bunch of preschoolers.

I think out of everyone though, I like Chet the most, but I can't really figure out why. I think it's his weird quirkiness or something. I started off not liking him as he seemed to be overly ambiguous, like he was in the closet and wanted to come out, but wanted someone else to say it first or something, so see how "cool" they'd be with it. He's grown on me quite a bit though.

Sarah's pretty cool at times too, if only because she reminds me in several ways of myself.

Eye candy for this season is definitely Scott as far as I'm concerned, although I wouldn't really pass up any of the guys.

And, is it just me or could Baya get any less screen time? I honestly have trouble remembering her name, and if asked to describe her, I would get about as far as, "Well, she's a girl..." before giving up.
 
Ok, this is the most chidlish cast EVER! What is with all these temper tantrums and stealing stuff and locking stuff up? And don't even get me started on them not wanting to show the movie at the gay & lesbian center. Argh!!!

OMG I was furious that they refused to have the screening at the center. Ryan is such a fucking douche bag. He spearheaded anti-LGBT center movement. Just because his stupid friends in Podunk Pennsylvania wouldnt go to anything at a LGBT center doesnt mean people in NYC are so close-minded. Scott had no issue with it. It wasnt until the Ryan and Chet made an issue of it that things changed. if he used his brain he'd realize that the kindof person who was interested in a Pedro movie would be willing to attend a screening at the center. It wasn;t like they were screening "Entourage: the movie" or American pie 12.

Scott did redeem himself in the end. I cant believe he gave Katelynn all the money and he had all that money. I dont condone his behavior, but it clear that he is a nice sensitive guy and just overracted because he was so hurt by someone who he thought was his friend.

Well I have to say I agree with the folks who didn't want to use the LGBT center depending on exactly who they were trying to get to come see the movie. The LGBT center is great if you want more of the gay community to come out but if your attempting to reach out to a young straight crowd that isn't already familiar with the story a more neutral ground is a much better setting. I'm saying this as a fairly young black guy from Philadelphia your not going into most of the neighborhoods and getting young straight people to go to a LGBT center for anything. I realize NY and Philly aren't the same city but you might be surprised at how similiar they are.

Now maybe it didn't matter who they got to attend the screening (I didn't actually see anything where they were given a target group) in that case the LGBT center would have been fine. I don't have any personal issues with using the center nor am I mad at JD for suggesting it. It's just I can understand where his roomies are coming from. Also with what looked like a piss poor attempt to promote the screening I believe the turn out would have been low no matter where it was held.
 
I still like this season, although I'm not a fan of any of the girls. They seem to have no consideration for other people in the house. When you live with other people you have to try and respect others space. Also i do not agree that it is ok to refuse a house meeting. If its a house issue, why do they have to come to them one on one.

I love Ryan and Scott, they have looks and a personality. Scott really seems like a genuine nice guy, where as Sarah just wants everyone to believe she is.and she showed her true colors with JD. Ryan is very funny, if somewhat ignorant on life outside of his small town. And i have to say Scotts accent is very hot to me.

Chet just works my nerves every episode. His little fit over not hosting the movie was all about his career. I don't think he gave a crap about the movie. Also he seems very judgmental to issues outside of Mormon behavior.
 
JD is a psycho, but he's cute :)

I agree. He is too sweet. Its almost surreal when I first saw him I thought oh typical pretty boy douche bag homophobe, but then after seeing how sweet and accepting of all walks of life I regretted my initial thoughts. There is a video on RW Dailies of him having an encounter with this bitchy chick that said something along the lines of : "How do you feel being surrounded by ugly roomates?" and he told her off.

His security within himself, values, and ability to forgive others even when they hurt him is very rare. Wow his momma must be so proud.

Also he is surprisingly not shallow, when he brought home those two chicks I expected he's be interested in chicks who look straight off the covberr of a sleazy mens magazine, but no just average chicks. He even spooned with them, no sex!!!

Devyn still needs a new weave. All the money she was getting from multiple guys and she couldn't get a more realistic weave.

That Pedro movie was 10 years too late.

Scotty is such a nice boy. Those 2 girls he brought home were models. You know how high fashion models are often weird looking girls who are skinny and tall. Not your typical definition of pretty.

Dude Devyn's weave was the WORST in last nights' episode.Usually it is terrible but tolerable but it was so fucked up and lopsided last night when she was on the phone.
 
Chet is an ass. I love how he wanted to host the Pedro movie because that is what he came to New York to do. It was something to put on his resume! He could care less about Pedro or the movie. I lost so much respect for him. The episodes feel very planned out though. This cleaning shit is getting stupid. This is what they are basing episodes around?! Boring!
 
Yeah, the shows theme seems to be introduced in the opening segment, like this past one with Kate and Scott, and Scott came out looking like a rose. The end of the show was very real and touching. Kate should learn how to treat friends since she seems to lack a lot of them.
 
My episode got cut off. I saw that Katelynn say that she was broke and was going to go home. And I see from reading the post that Scott gave her money. Do we know how much?
