RuPaul's Drag Race Season 6

If you are truly a fan of the show, you should be watching "Untucked." Several posts above there is discussion about what Gia said as she left the stage. Well, if you only watched the show, she said, "You all are still dudes" or something like that. If you watched "Untucked" you know that she said, "See you soon. You all are still dudes." The first sentence was edited out of the main show. "Untucked" gives one a good amount of insight about the chemistry between the contestants.

Anyhow Courtney's body definitely lacked curves. Bleeech. And "omg" I really think Ben and Adore are soooooo cute!!!!

Yeah, I did mention that I rewatched untucked and that's where I heard it from. Also, I don't see why people skip untucked? That's usually where all the juicy stuff happens. I never miss an episode. :) It's a little bit dull this season though, but still fun to watch to see all the closeups on the queens.
 
I'm rapidly turning off Darien. I thought she was fabulous to start with, but if I want to put up with a fat, frumpy bitter middle-aged bitch I'll talk to my cousin.

Adore, ahh Adore is fabulous, if she's not Top 3 I'll eat a dick.

Ben del a Creme, love her, she's fast on her feet and pretty much awesome.

Trinity, you lip synch like a fucking Diva, but act like a wet sock, get your shit together.

Courtney, pick your game up woman. You're coming across as pasteurised milk & I know you're bitchier than that, and much more entertaining.

Laganja, meh, smoke a bowl and keep on trucking. Possibly invest in some waterproof mascara.

Josylyn, you are cute & sassy. I'd cheat on your husband with you.

Milk, see ya in Sydney in May. Do you're Helen of Troy character cause I want to see you naked

Bianca, you're a total bitch. I came into this season rooting for the local girl (Courtney) and now all I want is a pony, for you to win & to see you live in Sydney.

Agreed with all of this, except Milk lol. So what's your take on Courtney, as an Aussie yourself and being familiar with her? Is she doing herself justice on the show? I really did expect more from her and every week she bumps down my list and she started in my top 3. It seems this way for most people. I haven't seen much videos of her but the talk before the season started was she was someone to watch out for... and I just don't see it (as of right now, but it's almost kind of too late for that).

The Pink Furry Box segment with gooey stuff was dumb, but in general one gleans a lot of the back story interpersonal dynamics from watching Untucked. And that's where some of the best quips and one liners originate like Bianca's "If I want to come for you, I'll come into your room at night and cut up your wigs." This was directed towards Laganja who also got from Adore, "Ut'uh, don't be cute, gurl," when Laganja accused Adore of throwing shade and when Adore asked for details Laganja said she couldn't remember specifics, only how she "felt."

Classic.

To be honest, I don't think Courtney is doing herself any favours at all so far. She was the top of the Drag Queen pile in Sydney back in the day and she still sells out shows every time she comes back. But the show is making her out to be a lot weaker than I thought. She's a fierce competitor, and a talented one, but she's sort of coming across as a bit blah. I don't know if it's the editing on the show or whether she's just being overshadowed by the more vocal queens.

She needs to pull a rabbit out of her hat so to speak. Before the season aired I was certain she'd be top 3. Now I'm not sure at all. Given RuPaul's warning in last weeks episode of not becoming a cliche I think it's telling that RuPaul thought Courtney would be more of a competitor than she's appearing to be. Still, it's not over till the fat lady sings as they say. We'll see what happens in the next couple of episodes.

Come on. We're halfway through the season. When exactly do you think she's going to bring it?

She is very sunny. I'll give her that.
 
I think Courtney is going to whip out the mechanical angel wing outfit on the next runway, as seen on the RPDR preview. I thought that was breathtakingly beautiful but she was still in somewhat of a bikini. :grrr:
 
Don't bring Gia back she doesn't deserve it. She is trying to rely on the face and body sorry Kenya n Carmen were the same boring just something to look at. My top 3 are Ben Dela creme she's amazing,Bianca she's a smart bitch and not as bad or as calculated as some of you think. A lot of people like her can throw shade real quick n seem bitchy but are a teddy bear in reality. And idk between adore and josly for me for the last spot but I hope its between Ben n Bianca for the win
 
Can I ask some stupid questions. How well do the guys do out of this I mean do they become well know throughout the US? Do their characters get their own shows or appear in other things like RuPual does? Or is it like most reality TV someone wins and fades back to obscurity?
 
It's not like drag is a niche you see in the "mainstream" outside of RuPaul(and Lady Bunny somewhat)... so rather than say they fade into obscurity, I think they go back to "the ball", only with a higher standing within it. That said, I've never seen a drag race winner live(only seen Jiggly Caliente live, and left Florida before Latrice Royale came to town).

It's all just a lot of publicity for everybody involved. It's not like "Next Drag Superstar" is actually a thing that exists. Unlike "Top Model", which does exist, and Tyra Bank's show hasn't been able to produce one yet.

That being said, my theory is that Ru was trying to launch Tyra Sanchez as an honest-to-god fashion model who would pose for Vogue and walk the runways of Paris and Tokyo, when she crowened her in season 2, to lend the show (which still wasn't very well known back then) some credibility. It didn't happen, so she shifted her focus. Thank god.

Shangela was on Community, but she wasn't a winner - not even close.
