After the first 10 minutes of the movie I had to change my expectations of it. I was genuinely expecting "Sin City 2" or something like that. After falling asleep for a few minutes I decided to embrace it's awesome badness and try to enjoy it for the comic comedy that it is. This is a prime example of a great cast that can still put out a *beep* movie. And on a side note, is Samuel L. Jackson the new Jack Nicholson? He overacts in everything. "Snakes on a Plane" was funny, "Lakeview Terrace" was okay, but Sam in a Nazi uniform disintegrating kittens? He practically pulls the scenery off the wall to chew it in this movie! But again, it was SO bad, it was actually good.

It was too bad to be good. I think Will Eisner would be horrified by what was done to his characters.

I think Frank Miller is losing his mind.

Frank Miller can create great comics, but he should not direct another film ever again.

This film proves three things.

a) following a trend isn't always going to pay off.

b) Critically acclaimed altenative media doesn't automatically make a good film.

c) throwing money at a project won't make it work.

The source material could have easily made a good film if it hadn't been treated like surrealist camp schtick. Miller wasted a great cast by taking something that is supposed to be grounded and shoving it so over the top it couldn't possibly survive the fall.

I went with my friend to watch it the other day...

Personally, i just want to know where the hell the storyline was =/

Worst movie I've seen this year, and is leading all competition for worst movie I've seen so far this decade.

Well, the recent Punisher movie might actually be in the lead. At least this one had eye candy.

wow... i'm sad to hear it's no good.
i suppose i can add it to the long list of "wait untill DVD to see it."

I saw "Bedtime Stories" and "The Spirit" in the same week.

It was a bad, bad week for me and movies ;)

Wow, hon, you could have just stayed home and had a big glass of Draino and been less sick.

My friend and I saw Benjamin Buttons, than snuck into Marley and me, and than the spirit. After 10 minutes we left. I am a huge comic book nerd and for me not to like it it must be crap cause I love all that is comic and Sci fi. When Eva, whatever her name is, photocopied her ass and said what a great ass you've been a great ass while looking at her pic i had seen enough. samuel Jackson was ridiculous. What the fuck was everyone thinking when they made this piece of shit?! Sin City is fantastic. As good as that is is how bad this is.
