Stargate Universe

I like it. The last two episodes have not been just about "which basic necessity are we about to run out of this time?" but more about "who is going to be in control of the ship?", and the "mind swapping" stuff (seems to be plausible "ancient" technology to me) adds complexity and ambiguity to that (which I like).

In the newest episode, the single scene that got my attention the most was the guy who was taking the last pill out of his 'scrip. "Uh oh."

so did anyone check out tonight's mid-season finale??

i was actually surprised with what happened to rush.

I'm sad Camille's leadership was short-lived. I hated the military boys club calling all the shots. Scott is getting more and more bossy and annoying. He thinks the military personnel should be above the law and in charge of everything. I liked how Camille sent people on missions with the smart people in charge and the military doing security.

Yup, saw it.

As soon as they had their discussion, I wondered if Young mignt not do what he did.

I figure Rush will get in, figure things out and make it work. I also think that'll alert somebody else. :)

This. I think there are also potentials for rush to Gate here and there. We're not done with him yet.

Okay I just watched all nine episodes, and I think I'm hooked I really like Scott and Young.

I loved the first 2 series, but i cant get into SGU to much drama not enough stargate:(, maybe that will change with the rest of the episodes

Love this show. The other Star-gate series were just way too cheesy.

You guys still watching this?

I hope Telford gets eaten by those aliens. Can't take his acting seriously after being on 'I'm a Celebrity Get me Out of Here'. BTW I'm impressed with the visuals in this show. The CGI quality is almost comparable to movies.

most of the CGI is really good, but they have some slight problems with "walking" creatures.

anyway .. yeah still watching, and it is finally somewhat developing, no more "problem of the week" episodes.

and, yes i hope that telford gets removed .. he is kinda annoying. but most of the inner conflicts are annoying. i like the prisoner leader and the scientist gal .. i hope they get this resolved and they become main cast. maybe she can replace rush ... (ANNOYING!)

As much as I drool over Scott and love Robert carlise as an actor, the more I watch the show the more I want to be watching Atlantis. Yes I liked the idea of making it different to the other 2 shows but seriously how many weeks can Rush do something risking and get away with it and then have a battle of wills with Young.

Also turn on a freaking light please I seriously cannot see what is happening because of the darkness in the show. Tell me more about the ship where is it going? Are there Acients observing this crew? Is the ship alive? Come on do something more. The S2 final was the best I've seen unfortuantely S£ has gone back for me. Don't know how much longer I can watch the show before dropping it.

As much as I hate his character, he's a big part of the show. They should do more with him.

A good portion of the set is probably green screen, which looks more realistic when things are darker. I think it's better than the constructed mundane corridors in other scifi shows.

It is hard to watch this show. I just find Rush so completely and utterly unlikeable. Ok his wife died but it still doesnt earn him any of my sympathy b/c he sucks so bad. I loved when young beat the crap out of him and left him for dead. I was really hoping he was dead but I knew that would never happen.

Almost as unbearable as Rush is Eli. He's like Hiro and from Heroes. So unrealistically naive it's infuriating. I think Syfy is trying to kill the show anyway. They switched it to Tuesday nights and did very little to promote the change. i just happened to catch it one day b/c I don't watch anything else on Syfy.

I just watch it on Hulu---didn't even know about the schedule change.

I stopped watching in the middle of the last season. I still don't know how Rush was rescued after being abandoned on that planet and I don't know how that group got out of the caves. I didn't even bother looking into the new season.

I doubt that even another appearance of Daniel Jackson could get me to watch it again.

i loved this weeks episode, although hardly anything "happened" :)

gsdx (do you have a brother named gsdy?) is correct. The Furlings were wiped out by the Goa'uld.

This week's episode summary: Rush, Young, Eli, and Scott all behaved pretty much as they usually do.

Rush was a selfish control-freak scumbag who endangered the ship and everyone on it by trying to control everything.

Young was weak and made poor decisions (releasing all the Lucians at once was stupid).

Eli was bright and tried to do the right thing, leading with his heart, and was generally perfectly lovable at all times.

Scott was slightly bumbling, good-hearted, sweet, and cute. I lost some dialogue when his nipple was exposed because I was thinking about how much I wanted to lick it.

The real standout of the episode was Wray. She used her influence and probably some favors to do something good and humane and compassionate for someone else...something she could easily have wanted for herself. Good on Wray!
