So, I only just started watching this show. Enjoying it more than I thought I would.

But, one thing is annoying me. The main antagonist Louis Litt - who, for a lawyer appears to do nothing else except pester the new guy - is coming off rather offensive.

The reason being that while it isn't explicitly stated, the character seems to be homosexual, is poorly depicted and has no redeeming features whatsoever.

Has anyone else watched this show, and what are your thoughts on this character?

On a completely different note, I find the two leads - Gabriel Macht and Patrick J Adams both way hot.

Thus far I've found the show very interesting. It's kind of a modern day "MASH" with a handful of main characters and many recurring supporting roles.
-
Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) is the best in his field - and he knows it. He's the resident "ring leader" who usually gets away with his shenanigans. His actions are usually heartfelt or in the best interest of his client. Macht has the talent and experience to become a big name in Hollywood. He comes from an acting family, full of interesting people. Read their biographies at IMDB.
-
Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) is a blend of brains, compassion, and a touch of lechery. He needs some guidance through the maze of a corporate law firm. He is compassionate to a fault, but sometimes foolishly. Adams was a new face to me. I'm enjoying getting to know his character.
-
Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) is the "Frank Burns" of this series. He constantly gives you reasons to hate him, and then in one or two story-lines he actually comes off quite human. In later episodes you get a better idea of what makes him "tick." Louis is a weasel but I've never gotten a "gay" vibe from his character. He is conniving and flawed - weak and powerful - and you feel he got this way because of a painful past...you just know he was the third grader nobody liked. (And he deserved it)
-
The Rachel, Donna, and Jessica characters are a strong feminine presence. Meghan Markle, Sarah Rafferty, and Gina Torres are great actresses and their characters keep the males in check without resorting to cliches.

:gogirl: As of tonight, all 12 episodes from Season 1 are available to watch free on IMDB.

Eh, I haven't gotten that far into the season yet - Louis may yet be human but I definitely get a gay vibe from him and it's not flattering.

As for IMBD - I didn't know you could watch shows on IMDB!

I don't think Mike or Harvey are homosexuals. There is a bromance going on but that is it.

No, not Harvey or Mike.

Just Louis.

I finished the season. Louis is yet to exhibit any human traits. He's a very one-dimensional antagonist. They can do better.

Got u. Louis does have some homosexual tendencies.
Here is Patrick Adams playing gay.

Jack & Bobby was such a good series. And ^ that episode was amazing.

I wonder if they only intended the series to last 1 season, cos it all wrapped up quite neatly.

Very good.

pinoaguilar: That was a powerful clip from Jack & Bobby. Thanks for sharing. Because of my schedule at the time I only watched one or two episodes.

braex27: On many IMDB pages, there are links to photos, trailers, and videos. Sometimes the videos connect to Hulu, but a lot of the time they're on IMDB's or an affiliate's server.

I re-watched some of the Suits episodes that included Louis in the storyline.
He's insecure, pushy, puts others down before they can put him down, attacks out of feelings of weakness, low self-esteem, and a need to overcompensate. Like.....you know... ;)(Tongue in cheek) Like your run-of-the-mill barroom drag queen!
OK, maybe he's a little gay.

I'll return to my cave now.

Thanks Shawn. Being in Australia, Hulu isn't available to us... Boo!
