Survivor - Fans vs. Favorites

Well the new season is starting up February, and I have to say this cast sucks. It should be fans vs. most annoying cast ever to be on the show...with the exception of Malcolm! Here is the list of the favorites returning:

Malcolm Freberg - Survivor: Philippines - I hope he goes far. Nobody will know him, he did this show 2 1/2 weeks after Philippines.

Brenda Lowe - Survivor: Nicaragua
Brandon Hantz - South Pacific - Please vote him out first!
Corinne Kaplan - Gabon
Phillip Sheppard - Redemption Island - Vote him out second! Looks like he up to usual by wearing underwear briefs around the camp.
Andrea Boehlke - Redemption Island
Erik Reichenbach - Micronesia
Dawn Meehan - South Pacific
John Cochran - South Pacific
Francesca Hogi - Redemption Island

Wow I can't believe the new season is starting so soon. I rooting for Malcolm to win. The others on that list I'm not crazy about at all, Hantz and Sheppard for example.

I suspected Malcolm would be back; Probst kind of let the cat out of the bag during the last show's reunion with a suspicious remark to him, and even a more suspicious non-remark from Malcolm. Weird though, how could he have been a "favorite" when he was selected and the show recorded before America even saw him in Philippines? Philippines and FF2 were recorded back to back early last year.

Most of the Fans seem boring, and 3 young blond girls? Really?! So I'm rooting for the Favorites this season, especially Malcolm, Brenda, and Dawn.

Yeah, we can't take the "Favorites" tag too literally guys. Otherwise the tribe would be whatever eight or so males CBS most recently shoved down our throats plus a pair of tits or two. Even in Micronesia, we had people like Ami (who was a major villain -- much bigger than Corinne ever was), Fairplay (probably THE biggest villain up to that point), Parvati (who, despite making her reputation soar in this season and in HvV, was not particularly important, well-liked nor remembered from Cook Islands), and Amanda and James who were in the same situation as Malcolm is in terms of playing immediately after their season aired.

They need villainous entities and psychotic nutbags for drama, big characters that people remember regardless of hero/villain alignment, girls who look good as bikini fillers and an attractive dude or two because god knows Phillip, Cochran and Brandon aren't making most women or gay men's mouths water. Even though I like nerds (Cochran), and would think Brandon is hot if he weren't completely insane and probably failed the psych test.

Yeah it should really just be called Fans vs. Memorable people. Although people like Cochran Brandon and Phillip aren't necessarily "favorites" they're certainly some of the most memorable from the past few seasons.

I'm guessing those were the exact five men they wanted to return. Male characters have been on the light side in this era of post-HvV returning men-only seasons. And there's always a WTF casting choice or two in every All Stars season when it comes to the ladies and Caramoan is no different... not to name names, Fransesqua (<3).

There's no interesting fav whatsoever.

Not close to the fans Vs Fav 1 or Heroes Vs VIllains

Adele defeating Taylor Swift was the highlight of that show for me. Like watching Sandra defeat Russell.

I think the female Favorites cast is pretty good, despite Corinne and the WTF factor of them recasting a first boot, even though Fran is likable. The question is whether any of the girls will shine through the zany antics of Cochran/Phillip/Brandon to actually receive an edit, or if the fans will actually deliver anything at all.

I hope for Fran's sake she isn't the first boot again...
