Survivor - Fans vs. Favorites

So Malcolm chose to not look for the idol at all instead of looking for it with a small risk Andrea would find it first? That makes no sense. 50% chance of finding the idol is better than 0%. He basically let Andrea defeat him and get him voted off. Didn't seem characteristic of someone who really wanted to win.

I am betting Eddie and Reynold have been blindly following Malcolm and did not question him about the idol because it saved their asses. Plus, they knew that it would be Malcolm who would be targeted first. However, it has all been highlighted with the thousand times Malcolm talked about how he was the only person who knew about his idol (minus when Corinne was around). I do no see how anyone thinks he is a smart player. I am sorry, but anyone who needs to use an idol or win immunity as a main strategy does not deserve to win. It seems like people did not notice that after he tells Corinne that he has Eddie, Reynold, and Erik that he walks up.to Eddie and asks if he would vote with him. And he never talked to Erik about that alliance. So, yeah. I have an alliance with people I never talked to. Hell, Erik had no clue what was going on.

I feel like Brenda had a big edit to make people think she was going to be voted off. The whole episode was built in a way to make it not boring when Malcolm got voted out. I was happy for a non-exciting week. Malcolm and Reynold are idiots and bullies. They re overrated because people think they are hott. If you shut your eyes and just listened to them and thought out their plans, you would not like them. Honestly, there was only one time a group of three made it through an entire alliance by playing them all and not using an idol. If I was on a sinking ship, I would flip.to.the majority alliance (see Danni).

We need more people like you in Survivor/Big Brother threads.

You too.

In addition to your correct math, Malcolm giving Eddie his idol last week was also stupid when he could've kept it for a guaranteed free pass this week and if he'd found the other idol, he would've had an extra two weeks.

I have always been abit skeptical when idols make their ways back to the same people.

Even if Malcolm would not have found it in this episode, he could have in the next. Andrea could not watch him 24/7.

What I really hate is that they re-plant the idol after it's used. It's one thing to have a couple of idols in the game to begin with, but allowing them to be reinserted into the game every time they're used just means that a player can keep using and re-finding them each week, thereby eliminating the need for gameplay or even for immunity challenge wins. It's stupid. If they insist on having idols, just have one or two per game and let that be it, regardless of whether they're found or used or not.

Well, the nice thing is that it'd be very hard for somebody to actually win in the end if they just idol their way to the finals. I don't think idol hunting is as pointlessly admired as even being an immunity challenge whore is on the scale of arbitrary non-social-related things for which juries reward players.

The thing I dont get about the last hiden idol is that ANdrea clearly understood malcom was diggin for the idol, so why didnt she ddid it too ? Or at least she could've told one of her alliance that that idol is there and they'll have to look for it before malcom finds it.

I mean what is frustrating about all that is that (from a viewer's point of view) the main alliance is not really threatned at all by malcom, eddie or reynold. It's like they are all in wonderland. they're not really active. Nobody did anything at the auction to counter malcom. Brenda said that she was scared but we didnt see her doing anything. Only Dawn and andrea looked for the hidden idol last week but thats it.

Now I think if Eddie and reynold are smart (which is not really the case) they could work they way up to the finals coz at this point ANdrea / cochran and dawn are the only ones to actually play the game. I cant see a F3 with them 3 in it

The problem with having an idol in a main alliance is that it turns the person into a blindside target. Given had Andrea found it, she would have played it at that tribal. The only way to not have issues with an idol is not telling anyone. Only Sandra has accomplished that. I donot know why people are shocked that Andrea is so smart. Oh yeah... Boston Rob overshadowed everyone but Phillip that season.

In one of the secret scenes this week, Andrea and Brenda were digging for the idol a bit when Malcolm tried to pretend he'd found it by putting the wrapping from his old idol into his pocket and playing it like he had the new one. Brenda didn't believe him because she's a boss bitch like that.

What's with Brenda's editing this week? She's turning into a young Dawn...

I believe she was set up to look like she was going to make people not realize that Malcolm was going.

All I know for sure is that Eddie has the most kissable tummy I have ever seen. Slight hint of a happy trail too. MMM

Ugh! It kills me when people only like someone on reality tv because of their looks.

I loved it so much that I wrote an Andrea/Malcolm story. If you wantto read it, feel free to send me a PM so I can give you the link. :)

Brenda and Erik is such a disapointment this season.

Oh well, with Erik...I'm not surprised since he was terrible in his first season and I had no idea why they bring him back.

But Brenda.... she and Erik should have align with Malcolm, Eddie and Reynold and take control of the game.

Erik and Brenda were never part of the original Stealth alliance and it should be clear to them that they're at the bottom of the alliance.

If they don't make any moves (which I think that's what going to happen), both of them are going to be voted out soon.

Brenda clearly would have been fifth in that alliance so I don't blame her for not switching. She's in with Dawn and most likely ahead of Sherri and Erik in the SRU pecking order so it would have been a move that created angry SRU jurors just to end up in a lower placement barring immunity wins/idols.

Brenda is so boring this season. The fuck happened to her?

Cochren (sp?) is probably going to win.

I'm betting on Cochran winning too and I'm fine with that (I like him more this season) but Brenda is still one of my personal favorites of all time, despite her invisibility this season.

The fact that she's drop-dead gorgeous doesn't hurt either.

I am so thrilled that Reynold is gone. Brenda said it well. He is such an asshat.

Andrea totally had that blindside coming. It was exciting and a bit unexpected for a double half hour episode.

Erik is a very loyal person. He may say he is going to flip, but he never will. There is little reason for him to. He has a better shot at immunity without those guys. Brenda is playing a more low-key game, much like Jerri played upon returning. But, as shown, it is easier to get by when people forget the player is there. And it has been shown all season that if one tries to move away from the alliance, they go.
