Survivor - Fans vs. Favorites

Amazingly, Twitter and Facebook are spewing venom at Cochran and Dawn for betraying Brenda tonight so it might happen (in my dreams)!!

Oh I'm not surprised. Cochran did what was best for himself, no question. But to the casual viewer, a gorgeous likable girl who was good in challenges, and who loves her dad so much it even made manly Probst cry, generously gave up her reward so others could get it, and then generously gave up her immunity so a whiny sea-hag could get it, only to be mercilessly betrayed by said sea-hag and a pale geek. And they made her cry.

To them Cochran/Dawn was all,"She's better than I thought! Time to take matters into my own tentacles!"

And Brenda ends up winning in life because she's engaged and preggo right now. Take that, Cochursula and his pet eels Dawn and Sherri (who I hope wins out of this final five, but lol)!

Brenda was just too much awesomeness for her alliance. Like Beyonce in Destiny's Child.

(Cochursula? I just choked on my orange juice while laughing)

Also, Brenda even cries adorably:

Not that Brenda's small but loyal Internet fanbase of gays and Sucksters (lol oops same thing) could compare to Malcolm's stampeding housewife fanbase, but I'm voting for her for Player of the Season when normally I just ignore the fan favorite vote. :(

Don't forget that cougar fanbase wasn't enough to give it to Malcolm last season over one awesome Lisa Welchel so there's still hope!

The problem is that Lisa had like, 50x the edit that Brenda had over the course of their seasons. But the strong reaction about Brenda's boot that's lighting up the Internet -- plus the fact that casual fans have a memory of about two weeks, and Brenda was booted right before the finale -- gives me the slightest bit of false hope. <3 Because otherwise the FF vote is probably between Malcolm and Cochran and no, thank you to either.

The bigger question is, does this heartless boot and the fan reaction to it, guarantee Brenda will be back despite her invisibility for most of the season? I'm a hypocrite in that I normally bemoan the same players coming back again and again but I'd happily watch Brenda every season until she finally wins or at least fucking makes it to the end.

Also slip, this will just be the worst reality week if one day after Brenda's boot that bug-eyed beaver on Idol makes it into the finals.

I knew it was bound to happen.

But really Cochran did nothing wrong. Brenda was gunning for him next after Eddie.

Corrine had said in her exit interviews that Brenda wanted an all female alliances. So most likely, had Eddie gone tonight, Brenda would have target Cochran and Erik...leaving an all female final three of Brenda, Dawn and Sherri....which would be terrible because it would be like "One World" all over again.

So in a way, I'm kinda glad Brenda is voted out because I don't want to see an all female final 3. And Brenda would have easily won because she has no made any enemies and she is a huge challenge threat.

And I think Brenda should have count herself lucky for making this far. She, Brandon and Erik were never really part of the original Stealth alliance. The reason she was recruited later by Phillip was because the favourites need numbers to get rid of the fans.

She got this far in the game because the favourites tribe keep winning immunity premerge, Brandon's outburst and the tribal swop.

She might not want to come back now that she's having a baby. At least not for a couple of years, I guess. I could see her coming back, though, because she ended on a strong note despite being background noise for the first ten episodes. Natalie Bolton is CONSTANTLY under consideration for returning player seasons and she was like Caramoan Brenda's evil twin.

BTW what was the point of having a second group of loved ones? It didn't really add anything to Brenda's dilemma cuz essentially it was the same question. Wanna keep it for yourself and this bipolar sea-hag or give it to these other four losers/potential jury votes?

I am so pissed after that episode. That was the worst twist ever on the show. There was no way to get past that without being voted out of the game. We should not think so harshly of Dawn. I am a huge fan of her and I think this is the worst move she has ever made as far as hurting someone, but she has made good moves with people to try to win. Did you say the same about Parvati and Cirie when they took out Ozzy and would have went after James? Why does Cochran make the plan, but Dawn has to have the backlash for it when she is actually trying to play the game with the person who she alligned with first? Brenda was plotting to take out Cochran. Perhaps that weighed out in her mind. Trust me, Brenda is in the line of my favorites too, but which Brenda would you really like to see win? Anyway, what I was saying, that twist was not fair at all. To take something away from the winner is one thing, but to take it away from the first pick too is another. Poor attempt to raise ratings

Cochran and Dawn save Brenda last week , and this week, Brenda is already plotting to get rid of Cochran.

I think that sort of even out the argument that Dawn and Cochran were ruthless after Brenda gives up her reward challenge for the whole tribe.

I think her whole nearly invisible edit this season really sums up the type of player she is. Brenda is a terrible player. She is really just a follower/ riding coat tails....up till her boot episode. She could have make some big risky moves but she didn't.

At least Corrine and Malcolm made some moves though it didn't work out for them in the end.

And Brenda seems like a bitter person in real life. Her twitter is protected and she doesn't seems to follow anybody from Survivor or have any contact on twitter with anybody from Survivor.

how is that bittter

thats scumbag...they didnt have to get her then

cochran and dawn are pieces of ashit

brenda may be a private person and may not want to let everyone in..whats so wrong abt that

Brenda to Dawn: "I should've left your teeth at the bottom of that lake you fucking crazy two-faced bitch."

tthank you ad then dawn is wondering why she will loose the money..it would have benefitted her final game to cut cochran and erik and eddie and get the kudos for it. she was in the right spot and she didnt even see it.

karma is a bitch.

brenda was really genuilley nice to her.

that really hurts. i felt bad for brenda

You are supposed to feel bad for Brenda. But do you want to see someone who started playing at 7 to be in the finals? Dawn, Cochran, and Sherri have been playing hard all season. You are gonna shun them for voting one person off? All of the final 7 besides Eddie are at the top of my favorites list from there seasons. Erik is my second favorite of all time, but I do not want to see him win with how he played. To win, you have to make hard moves like this.

I do not like this sea-hag label. I hate Terry Deitz with a passion, but I would never say something that crude. These are real people, and Dawn is playing to win money for her family. Brenda is young and something tells me she does not have a hard time getting jobs with that winning smile.

Bad editing leaving her out doesn't mean she wasn't playing all this time.

While it was a personal betrayal on Dawn's part, it was the right strategic move to boot Brenda. Can't get mushy at this stage in the game. Brenda's big flub is what Dalton Ross has said time and time again: never win the family reunion challenge! It always comes back to bite people!!

Brenda said she played humble. Humble is not a winning way to win. I was sweet and demure and as humble as can be and I lost and I am so sad that I am crying like I lost the dearest love of my life. Sorry Brenda, but you lost and you lost as stupidly as anyone has lost because you thought the kindness of your heart woulda/shoulda won you the big prize. It is Survivor after all.

It was a fairly good episode although I hate these family things and I agree that a second family member added nothing. Sometimes they even aid and abet a player as it did 'my dead grandma."

Brenda HAD to play quiet this season. She not "not playing" just because she was under the radar and the edit didn't focus her for many episodes. She was an outsider from day one after the Francesca vote and it would have made no sense for her to go with the fans in the post-merge. She played a cold, strategic, proactive game in her first season and it got her tenth place. This time she played a more laid-back, friendlier game and it got her sixth and she was perhaps an immunity or two away from winning the entire game. Call me crazy but I think the second strategy worked better for her.

Well I've never EVER felt that way after a TC. I know they have to play, it's a game, so they voted out their biggest threat, I guess You can say thats fair.

But IT's LAME. They voted her out, because she gave everyone their loved ones??? There's no way she could've gone thu this TC without being voted out. The Twist was aweful.
Dawn really think she can win it ? Thats one of the 5 contestants to ever play this game I trully cant stand. She's complaing, crying, whining, theres nothing to like about her.

Cochran wins for sure, but To my opinion this season was good, and to end up with a F3 like Sheri / dawn & Cochran thats pretty lame.

To see Brenda going home like that, was sad, and unfair.

Oh and don't get me wrong, I wouldnt be that pissed if she wass voted out after. But They really couldve voted out Eddie and then her after, just ethically.

About Candice I would've prefer Natalie (Samoa) but like it was said, there's no way she couldve done a back to back season. And RUssell wouldve prolly killed her.
