The Amazing Race - Unfinished Business (All-Star)

Yes...so glad Kent & Vyxsin are gone. Kent needs to be slapped.

I hope Greg & Mallory win, for some reason Zev and Justin rub me the wrong way.

And Mallory doesn't get on your last nerve with that loud voice n crazy face/mouth?

I am for Zev and Kev. Nice guys and funny and are at least decent to each other.

Zev is the one with Aspergers and the Elmer Fudd hunting cap. Justin is the one who always drives and does more of the talking. It was Zev who made the chocolate gnome last week.

They waxed bears on this week's episode.

You don't wax bears...please.

I'm okay with the outcome. I feel that the winning team definitely earned their win.

I would have liked it better if Gary/Mallory or Zev/Justin won, but I'm glad the GT's didn't win.

^ agreed. They weren't my favs...but were likable enough and they did earn it.

I laughed so hard when (which one was it...Zev or Justin?) yelled at the woman waxing him...saying he seriously was going to punch her in the face. That waxing had to have been painful...so much hair! Looked like Steve Carell in the 40 Year Old Virgin. Those ladies probably had a good chuckle after the guys left.

I don't think the people who set up the challenges for A R knew who would be the final 4 but that waxing thing was too much for me to watch with Justin and Kev. That was inhumane punishment. Then, too, the dancing was never a Zev thing and that was something the other 2 teams were fairly good at so at that point I knew the outcome.

Rather than the G Ts. I detest those guys.

The challenges in epi 11 were so badly stacked against Z & J it was very clear that they weren't meant to win. Which team would be least apt to master dance moves? Which team would suffer the most with body waxing which was beyond unfair? I barely watched the last hour, as long as the GTs didn't win.
Why did Gallory stick with the same taxi driver once they realized he was useless? And decorating a trailer park lot as the final task? Seriously?
Worst finale ever.

Yeah it is usually a trivia challenge at the end. Oh well. I am glad that the sisters won, I would have rather Mallory win but oh well. Just glad the the GT didn't win.

I didn't think it was a bad finale- especially when this was originally meant to be split up into two episodes. As for the waxing "challenge", it didn't matter how hairy you were, the instructions were to just sit there for 15 minutes and endure the pain- so not teams had an advantage there besides the stinging sensation they felt. Justin & Zev's fatal mistake was opting to sell bikini while speaking Spanish to a Portuguese speaking country. Selling things has always been a tough task on TAR.

I, too, am glad the GT didn't win. I did like the majestic bike ride to the pit stop.. very cinematic. Traditionally, the last task (besides the trivia) at the destination city is usually weak so I didn't think it would be any different this time around. I was more surprised by the double roadblock.

As soon as I saw Gary and Mallory had no chance to win, I was rooting for Jen & Kisha.

About the seven mile bridge. They didn't bike for seven miles. It's only 2.2 miles to island that served as the final leg.

Not that it really matters.

a308396, woudln't waxing hurt more if you have hair because of the nerve endings attached to the hair?

Am I the only one who was wondering why didn't Justin do the dancing? I think he would have been better at it than Zev.

I was also annoyed at the lack of a trivia challenge, but that's only a small complaint really.

I thought I heard Justin say something about that...he had already done his quota of challenges so Zev had to do it...I'm not sure. Jen & Kisha said something similar when they were doing the underwater challenge.

I like the trivia challenge...it's a good balance in having mental and physical challenges at the end...plus a look back/walk down memory lane for the season. I'm trying to recall if there was a solely mental challenge for the last 3 to complete? The dancing was kind of...but obviously it was physical too. The waxing challenge really required no skills (physically or mentally) and I saw no real point in it since it took them all 15 minutes to complete. It was good for a laugh though...and I'd think it would have hurt Z & J more than the others who were less hairy.

Oh, so there is a quota for challenges? I didn't know that.

I don't remember which season. But, one season there was a husband and wife team and she did one challenge the whole season.

Next season they had a new rule...the partners had to share the challenges equally.

^ I found this info.

Early seasons allowed teams to distribute the Roadblocks between the team members as they desired, which allowed one team member to do nearly all the Roadblocks. This was changed in Season 6, which limited a single teammate to a maximum number of Roadblocks s/he could complete, thus forcing his or her partner to perform roughly half of the Roadblocks, as well.[9] Subsequent seasons have not explicitly stated this rule but teams have maintained an even distribution of Roadblocks throughout the Race. Racers can be heard saying they've done "all my Roadblocks" or "saving the last one".[10] In Season 9, the Roadblock limit was increased to a maximum of seven which can lead to a 6-6 or 5-7 distribution.[11] The only time the limit was not enforced was during the "Family Edition", wherein some Roadblocks required two people from each 4-person team to participate.

I was really bummed that Zev & Justin didn't make it all the way to the end -- but I liked Kisha & Jen too, so I'm happy they won.

As I watched the finale, I would've been so much happier if the GTs had been eliminated before the Final Three, but at least they didn't win. lol.

Who else hated when the GT's taunted Zev and Justin during the caipirinha bartending challenge?

There was more than once the GTs showed how classless they really were.

The team referred to previously where she only did one challenge, was Chip and Kim, winners of TAR5. Though about the same could be said of runner-up team Colin and Christie.

Ontariobear: as a former employee of a CBS affiliate I'm impressed by knowledge and memory of the details of the various seasons.

Sorry for testy behavior last week. I was being overly sensitive.
