TMK, there has never been proof positive (like with Rock Hudson, Roddy McDowell, Tab Hunter, Montgomery Clift, Richard Chamberlain, Jim Naybors, Anthony Perkins, Sal Mineo) that Nick was actually gay or bisexual. I think the story started with one of those not exactly reputable books of the past 30 years or so. In it, someone told someone else that far into his career, Nick could be rented for about $100.000 (a huge amount at the time), for a night or 2, anything went. The only time I ever saw anything about him in that respect. The same story made the rounds about Steve McQueen
