Re: The Official "Big Brother 10" Discussion Threa
Here's my quick thoughts.
Angie - Thinks she can mastermind her way through the game, but will probably be found out trying to play two sides relatively early on in the game.
April - I like her. She seems to know where she stands in the occupational field (I'm not supportive of it, but there's still a man over woman mindset in the work field) and I think that'll translate to the game.
Brian - Maybe it's just me, but my gaydar goes off with him. I think he's got a chance of going somewhere if he can align with the right people. Seems more of a floater.
Dan - I don't know about him. I'm really on the fence, it seems like all he's trying to do is be the cool kid on the block, but it seems he's got very strong feelings that could get him into early trouble.
Jerry - I LOVE him. I've always rooted for the older players in any reality show (Amazing Race, BB, Survivor, etc.) because they're given an automatic disadvantage because of their age. I think they casted the perfect guy to fit that role. He seems able to show that age is just a part of life and that you can still be smart, strong, and witty at any age.
Jessie - He seems alright. A little bit full of himself (or maybe that's my own mind labeling a stereotype) but I think he'll be able to get the help of both guys and girls alike and maybe do well in the game. His intelligence is something that should be interesting to watch.
Keesha - I've seen little of her. She seems like another one similar to April where she understands where's she at. Should be an interesting development given her PETA background as many predicted there'd be. Still haven't seen much of her though. Could be a sign of things to come that she'll float.
Libra - I'm sort of on the fence here. She seems like she knows what she's doing, but I don't know, just not sold yet. Should be interesting as well to see how she aligns with some people. For some reason, I have a feeling she'll align with someone like Dan secretly.
Memphis - He'll be gone soon. He'll think he can just 'woo' his way through and wheel and deal, but nobody will buy it. See ya later in week one or two.
Michelle - I like her. She *almost* reminds me of a tamer, MUCH tamer Amber, in both looks and personality to a lesser extent. She's outspoken and knows what needs to be done. I expect her to be another leader of the pack in forming alliances and strategizing.
Ollie - On the fence here. I'm a sole believer (and its my beliefs, take 'em or leave 'em) that nobody can go through life with a no smoking, drinking, or cursing attitude. I think he'll be caught in the middle of everything because he won't want to join one side or the other (whatever America/viewers portray as the good vs. bad side) and sort of be like 'whatever'. If he can manage to stay like that, he'll go far, but if someone picks up on him, he'll be gone soon.
Renny - The early frontrunner. She seems like a more modern Southern belle, she's adapted to the times of the 21st century, but has some heavy morals and values. I really like her, I'm afraid though that she won't be much of a strategizer and will sort of be a follower instead of a leader, but then open her mouth once or twice and get herself into trouble.
Steven - He's got a good chance to go far as well. He looks like he'll know who's doing what and when, and will know the "schematics" at all times. I agree with the one above that his story teared me up. That's a pretty big b*tch of a mom.

There's my quick review and commentary. I like this cast better than any. CBS has definitely done a much better job of casting than in previous years with some bland story-plots. The Dick/Dani thing was good for editing, but if you had the feeds, it wasn't anything really special (after the first few weeks where they realized they're still father/daughter and the game's at task). When they went with complete strangers for the first time since season 3, they've gone all out. Very contrasting personalities, ages and everything else. I think it's going to provide a good combination I mentioned above where it'll be good America and the TV shows, but make for a very interesting view for the feed viewers.
I'm already in love haha
