I wouldn't have guessed no.25 was "just" at 6,700ish...I thought there were more people with around 10,000.

I'm suprised a bit by some of the names, but its pretty much what I expected.

how come I recognize all the names on the list (even the poor no boy ) but "Cuddly Bear" seems new (to me).

Have I been hibernating?

Was he someone or something else before?

How could I miss a Cuddly Bear until only very recently.

I'm confused.

Was he a different kind of a bear before he became a cuddly one?

actually there are only three people on that list that i havent read in the last coupel of days... so they are all still pretty active.


I think all of the people on that list have taken little breaks from jub here and there as well

Which means there are 19 in the top 25 that post a lot in other sections of JUB. So F&G is not loaded with the post whores like the cranky ones on here like to bitch.

that doesn't make sense. you would expect someone who has been here for a few years to have posted more than someone who has been here a few months.... but that often isn't the case.

it would be interesting to see the top 25 with the highest average daily posts. then you would see who the post whores are. only 6 people from that list joined before 2004.

I make no apologies for my post count. Truth be told, I don't really care. The only reason it was high to begin with was because I was chasing Brijan. Hey! Everyone needs a hobby. Mine is the noble pursuit of a cute guy.

i dont think its either good or bad to be on that list... just a statement on who is more opinionated and not shy about expressing them

I hadn't actually looked the post count list for quite some time - not surprised to see I've slipped off the first page.

Waaay back when (long before F&G threads/Forum) I was much higher. In fact, I think at one (very early) stage JD was #1 and I was #2.

Then a guy called Bosque (anyone remember that far back?) came along and quickly took the lead - but I think that was well before 1000 posts were commonplace. He changed his name to something else, (Atlantis?...maybe?) and eventually disappeared.

Memories.... (well, at least it shows I haven't developed Alzheimers yet )

Post counts, though slightly interesting in their own right, are not exactly the most important aspect of participation here. What I did find incredible was the 24% of total posts for 25 members, that shows participation.

I would be interested to see the comparison of post ratings.

It would also be interesting to see those who are still posting compared to their join date.

What I don't understand is all the anger that this subject arouses. Who cares about the post count? I don't even believe that those in the top 25 consider that as an achievement; it is just a figure that people look at and then carry on posting.

I had NO idea that I was in the top 25 in post count, for I really do NOT pay attention to my count; but I do tend to hype-up others who make the grade.........lol

I thought surely that I would be much lower in post-count at least, for I don't participate in the games thread where you get a lot of posts, quickly...

I just enjoy participating and being the "welcome-wagon-to-JUB" and stuff! ha ha
