What an odd comment to have made at you out of the blue especially having seen your pics. I think my retort would have to be along the lines of " If I had been the midwife at your birth you would never have drawn breath."

People do not usually make those sort of comments without provocation, I just don't quite see it.
 
Shame. Dont think like that. When i was younger, i looked like a twig. I was so thin, when i look at photos now from when i was younger, i wish i had eaten and grew more. I used to get stares at the way i looked, and it lowered my selfesteem. But you know what is the best way to cure a selfesteem problem? Go join a public speaking class. Let everyone see that you are not uncomfortable with the way you are.
I think that man who did that to you was really cruel and you must just remember that 99% of us are not like that. Its just the 1% that is abnormal.
 
Sweety, some people are just messed up. There is way too much hate and ill feelings in the world. Dont add to it by listening to stupid people and hating yourself. I know saying "dont let it bother you" is basically asking you not to breathe, but you have to be strong and not let it ruin your day.
 
I can't imagine why anyone would say something so stupid and cruel, but then again, I don't understand a lot about people. What I can tell you is that there are people who do not feel that way. Surround yoursef with those people and feel free to vent here anytime you need to. Good luck to you.

I guess one thing you might consider is that if you looked angry or upset, he might have been commenting on the expression on your face.

I once knew a very good looking woman who always had this threatening sneer on her face when she looked at other people; she did this without realizing it. Once she practised smiling at others when she was on the street or shopping or in the boardroom, everyone started to treat her better.

You should spend some time with me out on the mean streets of Liverpool. If someone even second glances my friends when i'm out I usually burst into a mini rage.

I'd have said something back to that guy like "yeah and if I was born with a face like yours, i'd have considered staying inside my mothers womb until face transplants were made available".

Sometimes life can be cruel but it's the way you deal with it that counts. A little humour goes a long way towards making yourself feel better. That poor sod who mocked you about your looks probably cries himself to sleep at night because of his insecurities. Telling someone you don't know from adam they're ugly aren't the actions of an all together well man.
