Thor [spoilers]

Wow, damn good movie.

The best comic movie of all time and I loved the spoilers for the Avengers at the end.

What did you think?

Re: Thor [spoilers]

I thought it was kind of meh. The acting was pretty good, Hemsworth suprised me but the end battle was kind of boring and all the Avengers refs sort of made me feel like they were saying "you've paid to see this movie...now pay to see more".

I didn't really feel satisfied and the characters needed more time. Jaimie Alexander was incredible as Sif though. I really love both her and the character.

Thor felt a bit childish to me. I'll be holding out hope for "X-men First Class" more than Cap or the Avengers from now on. At least XFC doesn't have any "look at me, we know what facebook is" sort of lines and hopefully less ridiculously obvious paid advertising.

Re: Thor [spoilers]

I saw this a few days ago, I didn't know much about the marvel comic world of Thor but I did know a bit about Norse mythology so I had some idea of what was happening.

Overall I thought it was a pretty good movie :D

Really?
I thought we didnt see much of her. I didnt get much from her acting.

Re: Thor [spoilers]

the movie was ok.

the lead's very hot, especially when he was shirtless. lol

the Sif girl was from Kyle XY right?

Re: Thor [spoilers]

How often is Hemsworth shirtless in the movie nd are there any love scenes? That's all I really want to know LOL.

Re: Thor [spoilers]

One shirtless scene and no love scenes.

Re: Thor [spoilers]

Have to say I'm saving my money for some of the other films this summer and will rent this one when it comes out on rental

(I give it 4 Thumbs-up for Excellent......|..|..|..|.....1hr-50min)

I saw the Flick on Friday and I Loved it....Kenneth Branagh gets KUDOS & Much PROPERS for Directing the awesome flick......... There were no "slow-parts" and the story moved from one sequence to another....."Thor" delivered on the Acting, the Story, The Comedy & The Action. The Special-Effects were right on time...Everything that a Sci-Fi-Fanatic wants to see in a Fantasy-Flick "Thor" delivers in Spades...

Sir Anthony Hopkins...oh my gosh..That man is POWER......I Love watching him on screen..He is one Father/King that you do not Mess with....He can say one line and bring you to your knees...There's nobody like Anthony...If they don't bring Anthony back for Part 2 it will be the Studio's Loss...

Natalie Portman is as Beautiful as they come..She wasn't over-the-top and she delivered the performance needed for the role...I hope she's in Part 2...

Chris Hemsworth as (Thor) did a great job carrying the Flick....Whenever the Action-scenes had him Spinning that Damn hammer and Commanding The Elements you knew this Character should be Celebrated along-side other Comic Characters that made it to the Silver-screen...

We didn't see enough of Thor's "supporting" cast of Warriors....I thought it was interesting to find out that "The Gate Keeper" has more Power than Odin but serves under Odin's Command...Thor's mother (the always HOT Rene Russo) barely said 2-words and if you blink you'll miss her.....It's going to be interesting to see if Thor's younger brother "Loki" returns in Part 2...

This flick will have Non-Comic lovers like myself wanting to find out more about the character's history...I encourage you to check it out.."Thor" is worth the admission price and a Trip to the concession-stand...:=D:...

I thought it was good. I didn't see the 3D version though. My only thing that bothered me was Natalie Portman, and her eyes. It almost looked like she had bad fake contact lenses.

Was the 3D version good?

"Thor" REMAINED #1 @ the Box-Office for the 2nd week-in-a-row...Taking in another $30-Million-plus...Total take for 2-weeks is $119-Million-plus.....

The theatre I frequent never orders the 3-D system...They do have the BEST popcorn so that wins me over...

We'll see how "Thor" holds up to "Captain Jack Sparrow" this weekend...Does Johnny still-got-it? Or is the Buying-public done with Pirates? I'm checking it out...Can't beat Johnny & the Beautiful Selma..

Re: Thor [spoilers]

Saw it on Imax 3D yesterday. It was awesome!

Yea, it's pretty badass in 3D. Like most comic book movies though, I find it highly entertaining while I'm watching it, but it falls apart afterwards upon the most cursory analysis--plot is rushed/full of holes, characterization is weak, corny attempts at humor, etc.

The special effects though, gosh, they are gorgeous, and the fights are v. exciting. I have such a hard-on for Norse mythology anyway, and I can't get enough of god vs. god action, so there was pretty much no way I wasn't going to like this.

Also, lolHeimdall. Only black guy in Asgard and he's stuck out at the end of the rainbow bridge, watching the door for all eternity while all the white folk drink their mead and party.

loved it!

saw it twice!

best comic book movie?

i think that still belongs to the dark knight. ;)

What does it say about me that throughout the movie, I was all about Loki? I know that Thor is the hero and all, but I was rooting for Loki most of the time. I'm happy that he's going to be the primary villain in the Avengers movie next year, but I wonder if there might have been better choices. Dr. Doom, maybe?

Yea i feel the exact same way. He was wrong on so many levels and obviously was the second loved child. It did not seem as if he even had a shot at the throne--Thor seemed to be a fit in for the position. Overall. I did Like the movie, i did not go head over hills for it, liked it. The actor who played Thor looked was dead on to what i would expect him to look like-- a god. And boy what a body.
