So Tori has a new album coming out May 1st. To be honest, my interest in her faded alot with everything she did following Scarlet's Walk.

You can watch the video for Big Wheel here:

I don't know. I'm liking it way better than Beekeeper, but man nothing gets better than Pink, Venus, and FTCGH. :D

Any EWF who are eager for Doll Posse?

Edit:

Doll Posse seems a bit like Strange Little Girls reinvented, at least thematically speaking.

I agree with you completely, Zeremonie. New Tori is often just too damned obscure for me, which I find leaves me feeling alienated from her music.

But I love her, and I am ever an optimist when it comes to her new offerings.

Plus, I've seen her twice in concert, and would go back to see her sing the telephone book. :D

The new album is AMAZING!

but can't believe you didn't mention Pele (THE best album, imho) in your roundup :P

there is a Tori thread floating around somewhere in this section...

I know we've had other tori threads but I wanted one about her new album. Anyway, I think TVAB is one of her best. Pele is not my fave.

I used to be a huge Tori Amos fan. I think she is such a strong and admirable person, if not a bit kooky sometimes.

My 2 faves are TVAB & FTCH. I liked it when she dabbled in the electronica, i found it better than all accoustic. Scarlets Walk was too folky for me, but had some gems. Thats when i lost interest, plus i started getting frustrated that I couldnt access meaning from her songs. i still think she is talented tho and do listen to her still on occasion

Hopefully Doll Posse will turn out well, ill listen before i buy though

My favourite is Pele, followed by TVAB - LOVE the electronica. This album is a lot rockier - so many guitars! but I love it :)

You're all posers! For crying out loud, talking about her best work you and you don't mention Little Earthquakes, which is damned near perfect????? ](*,)](*,)

I'd be done with the lot of you if it wasn't for the fact that you have "Zs" in your screen names--my favorite letter. Crew81, you're dead to me, however!!

Storming out, indignant and diva-like!!

Wow, I always wanted to try that on here. Love ya, Tori-philes!

I agree, little earthquakes is damn near perfect from start to finish.

Uusually when I get a Tori Amos album it takes me a while to really get to like it and then I become obsessed with it and claim it to be a masterpiece. With her new song however, I instantly loved it so I hope the rest of the album will be as good. I thought the new video to big wheel was great too, very quirky but inkeeping with the song.

I was never a crazy Tori fan :p, but I always look forward to hearing her.

:grrr:Oh yeah, get me a chair!!!!!!!

I enjoy Tori a lot!
I never bought or "borrowed" Scarlet's Walk so I'm unfamiliar with all of that... but I'm glad to know she has a new album!

I'm not going to bother naming her best album as we all seem to have a different fave, and I like so much of it!

(Aside: Bjork's new album comes out May 8th. Crazy! Now I have to buy TWO CDs!)

Damn--you love Tori and comic books, and you look terrific in a cape. Damn that GL!!!!! He better know how lucky he is that you've claimed each other!

You too.

Do you tie the towel in a knot, use a safety pin, or other...

Safety pin, of course, cause that's what tori might use.

See how I brought that back around to be on topic? :D
