Jealous. How did you watch it? Doesn't come out until the 3rd.

They had a sneak preview last night here in Houston and those who got tickets got to see it.

i actually thought it was coming out today because the sneak peak was last night, but it comes out on a tuesday which is so weird its coming out on a tuesday. and the Harry Potter movie is coming out on a wednesday. that being said, i am still going on opening day for both.

It comes out on Tuesday because Wednesday is a major holiday (July 4). They want everyone to see it that afternoon -which is how I'm spending my 4th of July. Forget the fireworks, give me Optimus Prime! :gogirl: :gogirl:

^lol, than that makes a lot of sense. what about Harry Potter on wednesday?

Movies are usually released on Fridays, with Wednesdays being the second most popular date. Fridays-start the weekend off with a bang to get everyone talking and encouraging everyone else to see the film. Wednesdays- middle of the weekday, encourage co-workers to see the film in order to generate more buzz and revenue for the film.

Harry Potter is being released on Wednesday, on a non-holiday week. Part of this is due to the targeted age group -drop the kids off at the movie and get cheap babysitting! The film benefits and the parents benefit. This also helps the fillm generate even more money because the kids will beg to see it over-and-over because this friend or that friend is going to see it for the first time.

I can imagine Shia LeBeouf transforming into some interesting things.

i think the parents will be wanting to see this too.

It was okay. Not a great movie, nothing terrible. Overly campy in my opinion (look no further than the Transformer lawn scene). What irritated me were the disjointed moments and loose ends (autobots leaving in the middle of a firefight to dramatically re-appear ten minutes later just for the sake of a good entrance; scorpiolaxx's ultimate fate, etc.)

Megatron was awesome though.

Interesting the show gets into sex a little too obvious. : ) But hey, all in good humor.

Just wish the film slows down the transformation of the autobots.

I saw this movie two days ago and it rocked !! Yes, I am a fan since Gen 1 and love to bits the first original animated movie but by the gods, this one was a great addition to the mythos and to the transformer franchise overall.
I freakin' loved how the transformers morphed into their cars and planes. It looked so realistic and cool, and in their humanoid form they actually looked logical rather than improbable, as in you could see where the wheels, steering hears and other parts went when they transformed and were not 'hidden away' as an afterthought.
But what made the film for me was Optimus Prime. This guy is on par with his Gen 1 counterpart in a lot more ways that just being voiced by peter culun again, who by the way still sounds cool after all this time away from the franchise. He is noble, modest but at the same time commands respect from the other Autobots and is a total and utter bad ass in fighting. I mean, just wait to you see how he disposes of Bonecrusher on the freeway fight - ruthless and efficient and straight to the point in order to move onto the next target. Just like Optimus Prime always is in fights.
Also, I just rewatched the original 1983 movie and, is it just me, or did I also forget just how brutal and full on the movie's opening sequence was ? Autobots getting slaughtered left, right and centre with smoke coming out of mouths and insides busted apart and that is just in the first few minutes !!

I have that movie ^ Yes, it's not so sunny as the tv series.

Gen 1 was the best. The next generations were not so good.

Can't wait to see the new movie!!

Two of my friends have seen the movie.

Friend 1 said, "I thought I'd be free of elimination humor in a Transformers movie."
Friend 2 said, "Giant robots hitting each other. That's what I wanted, that's what I got."

You pays your money...I'll pass, though.

Transformers comes out TOMORROW!!! So excited. Even though I only have 20 bucks to my name until Friday, but I MUST see it. So I am gonna spend the money.

It was fantastic. I've never watched the cartoons but that didn't matter, it was top quality throughout. Good acting (that kid is going places), nice comic relief, amazing CG; huge thumbs up.
