  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Attention What are you doing at the moment? 2022-2023

Preparing what to cook for the next 2 days. After my move back into the family home, I have become a short order cook. Changes in life that I never expected. All good though. One does what one does for family.

If you all don't tell me how much you missed me I'm coming to your house on stuffed cabbage night
Welcome back indeed. You were certainly missed.

Over how much time did you lose 35 lbs., and what did you do to accomplish it?

Posting a bit.

Yes I'm back.

And thank you all for the sweet and kind words.

Celebrating Vannie's return :ROFLMAO:
Otherwise I just had breakfast

It was pretty short. After my birthday in the beginning of August 2023 I just stopped eating bread, and any bad carbs. Also drastically lowered my sodium intake. And started walking again. We have a few hills near us and just started moving more.

I guess I lost that in approximately 4 months to date. I was actually surprised how fast it was coming off. I will probably go another 15 to 20 pounds and stop. I look too gaunt if I too thin.

I'm about 6 ft so I can carry weight well.

Thank you J 🙂

Glad to see you are back. I like your sense of humor.

I just threw out 11 pair of underwear. It bothered me to do that. I was saving them as back-up in case I wore all of my clean underwear, but I had ordered some new underwear (I think only 9) and didn't need these anymore. Years ago I filled up a small waste basket with socks. I keep pushing the holey ones to the back and putting new ones in front until I don't have any more room in my drawer.

I just called to get my doctor to renew my prescription. It was a recording and they wanted your name, the spelling of your name, your date of birth, the prescription you need, the spelling of the prescription, the pharmacy, the phone number of the pharmacy, and my phone number. I left a message and then realized that I had forgotten some of the info and had to call back with the rest. They expected me to remember too much. I hope that they connect my two messages so they get all that they need.

The gas company trucks are parked up the street and they have our street blocked off a couple of houses up from me. There is a guy standing out there to warn people or stop people.

I'm going to go to the mall to walk and I can go down the street to leave.

Getting ready to put up this year's cedar garland inside next week....That takes some prep.

Thinking of a pair of boxer shorts I saw at Marshall's, which had a Monopoly board theme printed on them. My Inner 7th Grader thinks that maybe the property printed over the fly should be The Water Works.

Just saw an ad here that started loading with a button that I could apparently click that would allow me to see "More Girls." Sorry, not interested...

I just told my 401k to start paying me. A grand a month with 20% withheld for taxes. I'll get the 20% back as a refund when I file.
$800 a month buys a lot of groceries. For now.

Although sadly in a couple of years that $800 might only buy a couple of carrots...

True. But I can buy a lot of canned goods and pasta and the like in the meantime.
And it might not be a bad idea having a well stocked pantry with stuff that lasts. Reliability of finding basics in my local grocery store is no where nearly as good as it was in 2019 (although it is much better than spring 2020). And spring 2020 shows how bad things can get--and how fast it can happen.

And finding the beginning of the roll of Glad Wrap? Fuck that. Toss it into the trash. Shit don't stick to pots and dishes as advertised anyway.

I buy Reynolds Wrap 914. 18" wide by 2000 feet. I get about seven years from a box.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004NG912K should get you there.

But it's in a 6x6 by 20 inch box which might be a pain in the ass. Top of the fridge works for me. Ain't getting any points from Martha Stewart for Decor but I some how manage to live.
