I've stumbled across the idea of putting a cake cooling rack on the cookie sheet. Give the frozen fries a few minutes because they need more time and then add the fish. On top of the fries. It's sort of like faking an air fryer.

Doubting my doubt of astrology.

After a remarkably productive day at work on several fronts, I went home yesterday to find an email from Ancestry.com from some distant cousin whom I had no knowledge of previously. I replied to his question, and we figured out our common bloodline (more than 10 generations before us).

While I was at it, I logged into my brother's account, and my sister's, and finally had enough information in both to learn who each of their fathers were. Both have living siblings from their fathers, but I doubt my siblings will reach out to theirs as I did mine. I'm the only single sibling in my family, so they already have all the family they want. Still, it was interesting to learn.

That was a really stellar day, pun intended. Should have bought a lottery ticket.
 
Going back 10 generations...we are probably related too. :)

It is amazing sometimes how far the net is cast.

Back in the office for a full working day....first one in two weeks.

I have mixed feelings.

Definitely a more productive day all around...but I think I will be missing my afternoon nap.
 
Mizzy was a little baffled I think...she is the only one who naps.

Although yesterday, she snapped awake, got some bumpies and scrumpies and then dove under the duvet to chew on my pyjama bottoms and socks.
 
^ We still get them every year...since I was little...always my first and last initial....

My day has been spent putting up the cedar garland in the entry gallery...50 feet of it...nice and thick this year and lots of lights. Tomorrow it is the living room cleaning and decorating and hopefully the main stair garland and lights as well.

For our tree we have a twig tree this year that is lit with teeny lights and will have all our wooden ornaments and toys....no big tree this year because Covid has knocked the snot out of both of us.
 
Well now you know what the fuck you have to find her for Christmas...

Last night when I got into my bed I felt something in it and got out and pulled the covers back and there were cracker crumbs in it. I couldn't imagine where they came from because I hadn't eaten crackers in my bed and I couldn't imagine anyone else doing that either. Then I remembered that I had a late snack, in the kitchen, of crackers with cheese in between. Since it is too much of a mouthful to put the whole thing in my mouth, I had bitten off some. It is amazing how often when biting something off a piece outside my mouth falls off, and that had happened. After chewing I had pulled the chair out and looked under the table and couldn't find the chip/crumb and wondered how it could disappear. My pajama pants are too long and I fold them up into cuffs at the bottom. I finally realized that the cracker chip had fallen into my cuff and when I got into bed it had come out into my bed. I was amazed at the coincidence of that happening.
