  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Attention What are you doing at the moment? 2022-2023

I’m sitting on couch with the kid. I’m going to have to take her back home in a little bit. I dread the 4 hour drive

We made it into town...dropped off more presents for our friends that we couldn't see because of COVID and other viruses...our gift room is ALMOST emptied now....only two more events to go.

And then on to 2024.

Back home. I’m exhausted
Was that 4 hours total or one way?

Did you have the same rain and fog? Jesus that was tiring to push through today and we only had 1/2 hour each way.

4 total and yes. I could only see about 100 yards in front of me. I kept getting behind semis that were impossible to pass in that weather.

ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

at least you are home safe....what the fuck were semis doing out?

We got behind one speed regulated smaller transport and I was so pissed that we didn't have the dashboard flame thrower hooked up yet.

So this morning, we are making terrine and pastry for mince tarts...as well as doing a load of napkins etc. after Christmas.

Normally every 28th, we have the neighbours for a dinner...but schedules are delayed so we get two extra days to chill out before the first and until the 6th for the second...

Back from a wet 3.5 mile walk in the park. There was a light rain the whole way but no fog this morning.

I also stopped for a Starbucks and went to Home Depot for paint and supplies for the living room.

I'm typing up a porn story inspired by a pic of a hot young guy somebody posted. I'm making it really kinky by having the guy get a blow job from his father-in-law to be on the morning of the wedding. The conceit here is that they had to spend the night in the same hotel room to keep him separated from the bride until after they actually marry. I may or may not eventually post it in the Gay Stories Forum, depending on how it turns out.

I finished making Mary Berry's Tarte Tatin yesterday, and took to neighbors. She is off dairy for some reason, and I was careful to use olive oil instead of butter to saute the onions.

After I left them with her and scooted along to my haircut in a nearby town, I had the horrible revelation that the puff pastry was bound to be filled with butter. Berry blessed viewers using store-bought puff pastry, so I completely forgot it is made of butter instead of shortening.

Geesh, I hope it didn't hurt her if she's on medication or something. Jimminy!

Baked tarts and shortbreads for tomorrow's dinner...then fell downin bed for a read and a nap.

I am reading an M.C. Beaton as a throwaway distraction from a much more adeptly written novel I don't want to rush... :)

I find Beaton to be a sloppy writer of mysteries... and this has been no exception.

Obviously.... Your nephew inherits everything. It sounds that good.

My Nephew Pete and his wife have turned out to be two of the finest humans I know. Just the best.

I taught them a bit about cooking and they took off. He does pizzas and breads and she makes awesome vegetarian dishes.

And they both create gorgeous artisan soaps. Soaked in the tub with a bar of Orange Ginger soap yesterday.

I quite enjoyed her Hamish Macbeth stories and her Agatha Raisin books. It's too bad that they came out with that travesty of a television series. (I had a bit of a crush on the TV Hamish.)
