Dr Who for me, has to be the first program I can remember, and it was scary!

I remember sitting in the living room floor watching the evening news about a group of Klansmen who had attacked a school bus carrying children. One klansman had gray hair and wire framed glasses. I have never forgotten watching that.

I remember a lot of kid shows, during the week I would watch the "Wallace & Ladmo Show" and they would show a lot of Baby Huey cartoons, and Heckle & Jeckle (whatever happened to those cartoons?), and during the weekends I would watch "Land of the Lost," "Isis," and HR Puf'n'Stuff. So that's what's wrong with me?!

:-)

the very 1st tv program i saw was a cooking show called "lookin at cookin". it was a small local tv station in oklahoma. also saw "i love lucy" in prime time 1st run shows. it was the golden age of tv. my family had the first tv on our block so we had all the kids on our block sitting on our living room floor after school watching the 'mickey mouse show'.

The only shows I actually paid attention to was Thundercats and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles all the others are just crap to me.

$100,000 Pyramid (John Davidson; unfortunately I'm too young to remember watching Dick Clark's era when it originally aired), The Price Is Right, Family Feud with Ray Combs, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy!..

Also I had the chance to see a fair number of old sitcoms and dramas in reruns and even remember some in first run. I remember seeing part of Golden Girls in first run. And The Simpsons and In Living Color. Series in reruns would include Bewitched, The Odd Couple, I Dream of Jeannie, Who's the Boss?, Charles in Charge, Family Ties, Webster, Knight Rider, Fame, and I Love Lucy.

The first television 'event' would probably be the 1995 quebec referendum when I was 7... all I remember is peter mansbridge and that red and blue bar on the bottom of the screen.

First tv show I remember?

80's Baby: Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers of course, all the kids shows. Zoobilee Zoo, Fraggle Rock, Muppet Babies, Pee Wee's Playhouse, Reading rainbow. So Many!!! I loved The Facts of Life, USA network sitcom block, Punky Brewster growing up and Small Wonder, Out of this World, Disney Afternoon (Ducktales, Tale Spin, Chip N Dales Rescue Rangers, Gummi Bears, DarkWing Duck etc.) Inspector Gadget, Garfield & Friends, Heathcliff, Dennis the Menace. I loved Care Bears, Rainbow Brite, My Little Pony. I liked Under The Umbrella Tree, Dumbo's Circus, Welcome to Pooh Corner. I loved Full House, Saved by the bell. Used to watch Disney Channel and Nickelodeon a lot.

I remember black and white TV and Sunday variety shows where everyone would gather around the TV, shows like the Ed Sullivan Show and Red Buttons and What's My Line. Also Lucy and Desi. Then there were Saturday cartoons like; Might Mouse and Tom & Jerry. A little later there was the Mickey Mouse Club, American Bandstand and many westerns. Our very first TV had a big magnifying glass in front of the screen because the screen was probably something like 9 inches or something.

The first TV memory that springs to mind is when I was 4 or so eating bacon at my great grandmother's house while she watched the Golden Girls.

Romper Room and Captain Kangaroo and Ed Sullivan and Gunsmoke

Earliest memories I have are the muppet babies, beyond that I don’t remember anything from much later on.
