In your relationship...what are some of the everyday things that you require privacy for?

Yeah, pretty much anything dealing with elimination.

There are several things that I don't mind doing in other people's presence, but that they might not want to be witness to - scratching my butt, say. But I don't have to be alone to do them. It just might be best for all concerned if I was.

Don't be checking my email
Don't be checking my voice mail (cellphone)
Don't read my text messages
Don't be checking my account balance

Questioning who i am talking to every time the cellphone rings. I should be able to have friends and not have to explain everything and everyone.

Asking me what colour it is! Don't.

Asking about my sexual past. All you need to know is my current STD/STI status.

Sounds to me like you have a lot to hide.

None of the above would bother me.

Newboy, have you ever had a LTR?

Well, I don't mind if my partner checks my account balance, since our finances are fairly well entwined now. And we sort of share the voice mail thing at home.

No cell phone means no text messages or voice mail there.

I can't imagine he'd check my e-mail. I mean, he's welcome to, but it'd bore him silly.

I do ask who he's talking to when the cell phone rings if 1. it sounds like he's making plans or something that might involve me, or 2. he may be talking to somebody I need to pass info to. Otherwise, enh.

About the only thing for which I require privacy would be reading your posts.....oh, the shame of it all

:cry::cry::cry:

Some of us would quite happily sacrifice our privacy if it ment there was someone special around to share life with us.

Seriously though I think the only thing for which I would demand being alone is to take a crap. Mind you one of my distant partners didn't have the same feelings and would quite happily sit on the toilet chatting to me whilst I was taking a bath.

most everything. I like eating alone, toking alone, watching movies alone, talking by myself, etc..

The only thing me (and my family) keep hidden from alot of people is money. I never talk about how much money I have with other people.

No we are not poor white trash.

Yup
takng a shit.
Sometimes talking to my friends from work but not essential. i just feel sily gossipng in front of him.........lol

I'm so obsessively private it's doubtful I'll ever have a relationship.

Poppycock. You'll just have to wait to meet someone private like you or simply someone who's a bit more career oriented than most (they're out there, somewhere). At least, that's what I'm holding out for.
