What movie do you like, but others seem to hate?

So is there a movie that you, usually, can't get anyone else to watch with you because you're the only one that seems to like it?

Mine is The Fountain; I seriously love it and always find something new in it. All of my friends hate it, though, and I do mean all of them. Other than that our tastes always jive, but there is no way I'm taking it out of my DVD collection.

I also really like Tron: Legacy and at one point was watching it like 3 times a week. Pretty ridiculous now that I think about it, but I thought it was pretty cool and still do haha.

Anything LOTR related my friends don't want any part of it.

Quarantine. All I ever hear is people who say it's crap next to REC. I preferred Quarantine. /Shrug.

Confession: I've been watching Hallmark Channel movies.

November and December are their holiday-themed telefilms. Not everything shown. But a lot.

I think it's just been my mood.

I really enjoy a bunch of independent movies put out by a company called Think Film. They are usually quirky stories with off beat plots that make you think. Not a lot of action in them but I have found most of them enjoyable. All (and I mean each and every one) of my friends that I have suggested these movies to have hated them. Most of the time they don't even bother to finish watching them.

I love these type of independent films and watch as many as I can. A couple of titles that I love are Live Free or Die, and Little Athens. Not sure if they are both Think Films but I love them both.

I am not a movie person. I think I watch like 1 movie every 2-3 years or so. I do like Titanic though but my friends all make fun of me for that.

MAMMA MIA for me... I thought Meryl Streep was terrific... too bad Pierce Brosnan wasn't!!!

Armageddon

Demolition Man

All of the Saw movies.
(Most people think only the first one was good)

The Net

Crossroads !oops!

Timecop

Speed II: Cruise Control

Pearl Harbor

Batman & Robin

Alien Vs. Predator

Jurassic Park III

I appreciate Cecil B. Demented, but for a meta reason that others don't seem to share.

That is, I love what the movie is about so much that I love the movie itself.

^I have to agree with you, I really love that movie but a lot of people seem to dislike that movie and all of john waters later films. I actually that film and what it's supposed to be about and that yet is doesn't take itself to seriously.

How about nearly every movie that I like? I either like them silent, black and white, or foreign!

I really like Cruel Intentions. None of my friends have seen but when I tell them what its about the weird step-sibiling relationship they think its really weird almost sick movie.

Gerry, a little known Gus Van Sant film, starring Matt Damon and Casey Affleck--both characters named "Gerry." I saw it with two friends who hated it; one declaring it the worst movie he had ever seen. I've never met anyone else who has seen it.

Mulholland Falls
That was a fun movie. I really can't imagine what anyone wouldn't like about it. It was a damn sight more entertaining than Hollywoodland.
