Ok, so I decided to start this thread because I realized that technically I shouldn't post classical/instrumental pieces on the "What Song Are You Listening to Right Now?" thread because they're technically not songs. I hope to find that many other JUBers listen to this kind of music as well, but if not, I'm ok with that.

right now, I'm listening to

"Concerto No. 21 for Piano and Orchestra in C Major" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Because I saw "V for Vendetta" the other night I've been wearing out the "1812 Overture." Orgasm in classical form!

well i'm sad this thread hasn't done so well. maybe i shoulda put it in "Hot Topics"....dunno. anyway, i'm listening to the entirety of Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake"

right now, i'm on "Danse Des Coupes (Tempo Di Polacca)"

Edit:
^I just listened to that last night. Amazing piece of music.

Excellent...finally I don't have to break the rules in that thread...

Oh crap, I'm not listening to classical right now...

Well I will be listening to Chopin's Sonata for cello and piano in G minor soon enough...

A G major Nocturne by Chopin....after just listening to his lesser known Fantasia on Polish Airs.

I have always considered Ravels Bolero as the ultimate "orgasm" in classical form!!

At the moment I am listening to the "Messe a l'usage ordinaire des paroisses, pour les fetes solemnelles" (organ mass for parish use) by Francois Couperin. As I am an organist, this type of music is part of my life and soul-ie. I love it!!

"The Battle" from "The Empire Strikes Back" performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic

Rachmaninoff - Prelude Op. 32 No. 13 in Db Major. Quite possibly my favorite piece. This kind of music is basically why I play piano. Music that affects you so emotionally that it allows you to step out and realize how insignificant the troubles in life really are when compared to the beauty of this music.

The Planets Suite, opus 32, by Gustav Holst. There is a movement for each planet except Pluto that was discovered during Holst's lifetime. However, Holst expressed no interest in writing a movement for it and today it is not even considered a planet.

"Ratcliffe's Plan" from "Pocahontas" I like the music that Alan Menken came up with for both this movie and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" the plots allowed him to be a LOT darker than any of his previous work.

"Ton efato tou paidi", sung by Mario Frangoulis on his "Somtimes I Dream" Album.

By the way, this guy's a fox. Has anyone else heard of him or heard him? Great voice. I think he's pretty popular in Europe.

"The Lark Ascending" Romance for Violin and Orchestra by Ralph Vaughan-Williams, and it's also the song I'm currently practicing right now. I'm in LOVE with the piece, I first heard it a week ago and it hasn't come off my media playlist yet.
