When you're trying to diet, what are the foods that always 'trip you up' ?

For me, it's the classic trio... Chips, soda, and ice cream

Nothing makes me happier than a big bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos, a
big ol' cherry coke and a pint of Ben and Jerry's....

It's a constant temptation, and I *know* I'm not alone....

So, spill it guys....

From a House Lo Mein to a bean burrito....

What makes you all lose it ?

Home-made Ice cream

Real chocolate (70%+ cocoa)

Good cheese

They kill me every time.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I can eat anything I want. (and usually do). Always had a fast metabolism. If I sneeze, I lose 10 pounds!

OK...It's official...

I *HATE* you !

(not really) ;)

Myself, I pass by a cheesecake and can feel my thighs expanding...

I can smell a bag of Miss Vicky's potatoe chips a mile away - definitely my biggest weakness. I can walk by a pie or cake but chips are my biggest weakness. Glad there aren't any in the house tonite and the corner store closed at 10:00

Wendy's spicey chicken sandwiches, choc chip cookies, and breaded chicken.

My new diet and workout routine starts in 10mins. 1200 calories a day and working out 5 days a week.

If I engage in a culinary delight, I forgo something else. Diets really don't work becasue it creates a false habit, one that goes away once you have achieved a pre-set goal, then your normal attitude and habit concerning food kicks back in. Teaching yourself to use portion control and making it a lifetime thing is better as it changes attitude and habit, thus no yo-yo with weight loss, then regain. Starvation is not the answer because you use your muscle mass and save the fat, thus you could lose the weight but overall be "fatter". Learn portion control and look at food as a necessity, not a comfort.

Now having said all that, I lose it on ice cream and Peach Cobbler (warmed) or Frozen blueberries and heavy whipping cream in a bowl mixed up with a dash of syrup on it.

For me it's pizza. I'll be doing fine, and all of a sudden I'm "screw this I want PIZZA"!

Yeah, gets me every time.

"I can't eat just one..........and quit.........NO! I have to eat the whole damn bag of potato chips!!!(*8*) (*8*)

I can't fall back asleep, so I'm eating aged Manchego cheese as we speak.
